I think the team did a great job picking players to form a nice base. If they can draft well, I think they'll be a reasonably competitive squad. Assume they have a high draft pick next year, a lot of good fan support, and they're off and running.

I hope the coach can help Kate learn to take advantage of situations where she can make a play that’s not in the scope of the offense. I remember in the first college final game she had several open looks at the the free throw line but she passed the ball. She was wide open but she made the “correct” play. I think she has the physical she just needs to be a little self serving if allowed.

For me, the Valkyries do not have a competitive team, just to participate, unless they trade and get Kelsey Plum and the magic of Marine Johannes in the 2025 draft.

They don't. Of course they don't. They got to pick from the bottom 6 players of every team. Except for Fagenbenle.

@@celinebeanie With the current roster, which is made up of only reserve players and overrated young players, the Valkyries cannot beat anyone in the WNBA. A star is needed to win games, like Kelsey Plum, or I would even add Marine Johannes, other free agents, Elena Delle Donne, Dewanna Bonner, and Gabby Williams to compete and not participate. The most notable thing about the Valkyries is Julie Vanloo, but she cannot carry the team on her shoulders alone.
