That’s insane. I’ve never seen anyone work on a bass kit like that before. Crazy as it is, this is rather innovative. Especially after the results. The bass has a pretty cool tone. I’ve recently purchased a bass kit myself and I’m looking forward to working on once warm weather comes by in my hometown. Of course I wouldn’t work on it like that, but I’m getting pumped on working on the bass kit.

Was looking for this, and I think I found it (kinda) : Minwax fast-drying polyurethane varnish. Either clear satin or semi-gloss, but since it's not very reflective, I'd say clear satin. I didn't find the exact same package, but I'm 95% sure it's this one.

Hello, the effect of burning on the wood is spectacular. Could you tell me if the quality of the mounting kit is good? The construction of the wooden parts, especially the neck and frets? greetings
@TheMukenukem2 жыл бұрын
I have 2 of them. The necks are very good and smooth, the fret ends could get some smoothing, but absolutely playable. I swapped the pickups for EMGs, and with those it sounds really good and hum-less. Most bang for below 100€. Body is light, finish is also nice. Some fine sanding and painting and you are good to go. Tuners and bridge are okay.

I'll certainly post a video too and give you credit. Thanks a lot ! Just a question, is your finish a clear coat or is it tainted a bit ? Is it matte, satin, semi-gloss or gloss ?

Aaaargh. My life is plagued by... Looks great. My friends apartment went in fire and he managed to save all his guitars. Actually, they all still play. Most of them have a heavy charbroil effect and we spoke about roasted necks and he was , first off, stoked that he saved them but also enthusiastic about the new tone. Roasted necks being popular and seeing my friend have this experience. I began torching my basses. They look a little like , this. However,they were fully assembled. The tone went in the positive direction. But hey look, Nate did it first!
