They absolutely need to make one. Btw what would happen if I use 2 motors, one with 140 kv for torque and the other with over 200kv for speed? Would it work for long periods of time (strain on battery, vesc etc) ?
@rdurai3306 жыл бұрын
Terrible idea, there is no such software to synchronize them so they would likely end up clashing, thus putting strain on almost every component.

FINALLY! A great start for a REAL longboard with an electric motor added. I just ordered all of my parts, most of which are the exact links this video provided. I went with the 10S5P battery for some (hopefully) insane range specs. All built on a beautiful Arbor Axis deck with the caliber II trucks. So excited. I'll try to update this post after it's built, if I remember to. Happy shredding 🤙

I can't believe I caught this video only a few weeks ago! WOW! Of all the diy builds, I is the suggested battery good (Samsung 6.0) for a person weighing about 220lbs? who do you think range would be for such a pe this one got me motivated me to start buying parts beyond just the deck! Great job on this board!!(Boosted clone) I expect to have all of my parts by end of October. Few Questions: 1. Is there a more powerful battery that will fit in the recommended enclosure? 2. Have you ever tested this board with 100mm wheels? I bought the Orangatang wheels, but may use 100mm wheels such as Boa or MBS so I can ride wet streets, especially during fall as board is being used for commuting purposes. 3. Finally, now that you've done a 'Boosted' clone, have you thought of doing an 'Evolve' clone? I would like to work on that after I complete this build. What deck would you recommend using for either the the bamboo version or even the GTX version? I know that might be harder since GTX is carbon fiber. But would do a maple version.

First, the comment system on your website is broken. Everyone is saying the build price is around $1100 but I found it to be more like $1300. I think some people forgot they used a lot of things twice in the build, like VESCs or pulleys or motor mounts ... etc. At this price point why don't I buy a boosted. The calculator I used said the range is 12 miles, which is less than an extended range boosted battery pack. If I upgraded from a Samsung 6.0 battery pack to a Sanyo battery pack that would bring the board up an extra $150 for an extra 4 miles. Which then barely beats the boosted. It's great the board accelerates fast. But I have no idea if the board climbs hills. A hill test and range test of this board would be much appreciated. I am also on a budget so I could save $325 dollars if I went for a single motor set up. Would the board still preform well enough if it only had one motor? I guess if one motor does not work I could always upgrade to two.
@JayPlays7926 жыл бұрын
If its money your worried about buy a boosted you want something faster build a DIY I find every single production board breaks or have weaknesses skatemetric makes there's fool proof.

@danielgordon91976 жыл бұрын
I agree, if your heart isn't in the process of building one. I think it's pretty cool to have a customized board. You can keep it the latest and greatest with gradual upgrades. I already have a Boosted V2, so I'm looking at this differently.
@xusya91416 жыл бұрын
Why not consider wowgo 2s for around 650? I think it was 16-18 mile range.
@parioceanchicago5 жыл бұрын
I make a DIY instead of buying a Boosted for the same price. Why? Because I don't have $1500!! But sometimes I have $400, two months later $300 etc... AND I can pick the parts I want. Like the Foxbox Unity I brought on sale with the remote. I won't have the same board because I want a kick tail. And others things like that so no, it won't be the same but mine, made by me and at the rhythm of the amount of money I can save.

GREAT BUILD !! But... Your Ownboard battery pack only discharges 40A continuous & you are sucking 70 - 90A . Its not good for the battery pack. Also the output of the battery pack is controlled by a BMS . So even if you think you are using Burst current , you are actually not because even if the battery pack can deliver , the BMS wont let it. Use a Higher discharge battery pack & Bypass the BMS for charge only. Or preferebaly go for 12s : )
@skatemetric6274 жыл бұрын
What makes you think this is drawing 80 amps from the battery (or is configured to)? The motors are both configured to run 80 amps max, but the VESC will only draw 30 or 40 amps from the battery, depending on how it's setup. Motor and battery current are not the same.

You get what you pay for! Buy a cheap import and expect to go through three or four boards that doesn’t brake, will take off without using the controller, and battery life will weaken very quickly, and dangerously! I’ve owned about 20 electric boards, bought some cheapies to give them a crack only to have a unreliable dangerous and unpredictable piece of shit added to the ‘do not ride again’ pile! Unlimited and loaded have teamed up to give you a seriously comfortable, fast, safe and fun board to ride! I will recommend them all day long!...

It's funny to show that this is basically a 10S2P powered Raptor 1 which accellarates faster than the Raptor 2 with 10S4P. This simply proves BELT is better than HUBS. Of course with hubs you got virtually no resistance and the silent operation when riding or pushing.

You guys made a toy here, not a vehicle. Not that that’s bad at all, if you want a more powerful and faster electric longboard this is actually epic! But Boosted is making vehicles here and no electric longboards. I think the longevity of the Foosted is much less than a Boosted.

your videos are concise and imo t h e b e s t on an educational level but *as amazon associates* you guys should put out the tutorial already and also be up front with the average price people will be spending for this setup. alot of the vesc images on your site are only relevant to users with outdated firmware and i guess what im saying is your work ethic leaves a little to be desired (considering we're talking about encouraging us common folk to build our own 30mph skateboards). less cash grabbing, more customer protection ->please

also you titled this "building a better boosted stealth" despite saying in the video you had yet to test the stealth yourselves. your board clearly measures up to the stealth in many respects ... but you're not testing you're foosted against the stealth here, you're testing against the V2, Right? that kinda shit may lead your viewers to follow links elsewhere. but seriously, great job on the comparative analysis- youve got my subscription on that alone
