Nice haircut! 2 cameras down, one caught halfway down! A ton of block up and gravel spread all over. Tree removal and a new one planted, without approval! Supervisors everywhere! Love that hot lunch! You must be tired, enjoy the weekend with family and keep on smiling 😁

Build is looking great. I think I would be filling the blocks. The higher you go the harder to fill the lower blocks with out voids. Thanks for sharing. Ron

Thank you! Looks like the concrete should flow to the bottom from the look of it. I made a longer vibrator that should help settle it to the bottom, One more course tomorrow and then we will find out!

This was a fun one to watch! Better to buy on sale now than pay full price later. You're laying skill has improved since you started, and you seem more comfortable now. I bet your muscles n back need a break.

Good progress. That block work is looking sweet. Isn't it always the way with learning a new skill on-site? You just get the hang of it as the job finishes! Looking forward to next weeks' video already. Be safe mate.

Wow the inspectors are really getting involved with the build. If only you could attach a baseball field dragging fence behind them they could plow the yard and at least earn their keep lol. Any bear, moose, or mt lion out there? Eagles? Be well. Your friend from Virginia.
@DIYDemasi4 күн бұрын
😅😃😂 they could drag the driveway gravel! No moose or bear, but my neighbors dog got into it with a mt lion an couple weeks back and had to be fixed up at the vet. Have a great weekend!

You will never regret insulating your foundation. I live in Maine and insulated mine and the basement is so comfortable you could add living space down there.

Appreciate the tips! I have a couple ideas on how to get the concrete in the open cells, we will see which is most practical! The translation is pretty good! Made perfect sense, thanks for the comment! 🇺🇸

Love your channel! Maybe I missed it, but what are your plans for water and power?
@DIYDemasi4 күн бұрын
Thank you!!!! I do plan on getting a well drilled, probably in the spring, been kinda kicking that can, just because of the cost. I’ve had the power company out and we have the plan for bring the power also, but same, back burner for now, prioritizing getting the cabin off the ground and back together asap. Thanks for the question and compliments!!

Just curious, you going to install weeping tile or a French drain on the base of the foundation? Would be a good idea. Specially for rain catchment. Looking good!
@DIYDemasi4 күн бұрын
Yes indeed! I plan to add some perforated pipe on the footers, not sure I’ll do rain catchment, I do plan a well in the future. Probably spring. Thank you!
