Now the real fun starts with the interior build! 🛠 Ellie was really trying to envision the composition and layout of her room as her mom was explaining it to her. She'll be so stoked to have such a unique individual living space, including her own bathroom plus a loft! Plenty of space to grow into! 💡

Your two young men are going to be as tall as dad. Ellie is growing so quickly and is so good with the animals. All the animals are drawn to her beautiful smile and her cheerful demeanor. She is growing into a wonderful young woman. You all can be proud of your children and your children are definitely proud of mom and dad. Have a great day and God bless you for sharing your life with the world.

You are such a good mum Erin (and dad Josh), just in that moment of a dropped egg you and Ellie laughed it off with joy and the reframe of what a good excuse to visit the piglets. Not only do your kids get to grow up in a beautiful healthy environment and learn life sustaining skills, you seem to provide a safe and loving space to be human and have fun ❤

I remember you digging the holes for the concrete columns under your house. The changes in the meantime have been momentous. Ellie clearly has a way with livestock, and your boys are growing like weeds. Plus your BnB and Grass Roots, you are an amazing couple that shows what a family can do when it wants to.

Having extra food on hand is an excellent practice. I grew up in Columbus, GA and February 9th and 10th, 1973 we had a 14" snow storm. We'd never seen such a storm! The 10th was a Saturday and I spent a lot of the day pushing my neighbor's cars out of ditches. They were trying to get to the grocery store. They were hungry and couldn't make it to the store. We had plenty of food. You never know what life and nature may throw at you. Be prepared!

Me too. I so miss the daylight. But we can't complain about the weather here, just north a bit of Houston. Not even using the HVAC this week. Hope we keep having small hurricanes and tropical storms that spin out in the Gulf to cool off our hot Gulf waters so we don't have bad ones next summer and fall.

You've got a spot on your camera sensor - probably dust. Try a rocket blower to remove it. Remove the lens, hold the camera up with opening pointing downward, and try a few puffs of air to dislodge it.

It's late for this suggestion, but the wall separating the master bedroom from Ellie's 'should' be either a double wall 1" apart, or a staggered stud wall on 2x6 top & bottom plate, so you can insulate it for reduced sound transmission. (You get a 35db STF reduction with either one.) This will prevent any sounds from transferring through the wall to little ears that don't need to hear mommy and daddy playing games after 'lights out'.
@franklindumas197812 күн бұрын
We used rock wool between our living room & solar room in our container home, cut down so much noise just with 2x4 stud walls. Inverter can be loud, also found it cut down on heat transmission into the living room. House looks fandamntastic & your family is amazing! Aloha.

When you are cutting the butt ends of joined boards like that rim rafter consider cutting the ends at a 45 degree. This gives you more surface area to connect and will better hide the gap. I even sometimes will set pegs thru the joint between segments. It allows for shifting but keeps things aligned...
