From what I hear this operation of making an m3 touring, which has been done before, is not actually that hard, but finding the exact little pieces you need can be a NIGHTMARE. Also the programming will be very annoying, flashing the body control module to be a touring but the ECU to an m3, with some custom hex code to make them talk to eachother

You gotta cut the rear quarter panels off and weld onto the touring. Not an M3 without the wide arches

Oddly you also want the headlight switch. This has mileage coded into it and I think you might get the tamper light show on the dash if you plug a different one in. Why it has mileage coded into it I don't know! You want the washer bottle and any mounts too. I also have an E46 M3 touring and love it!! PS Wiring loom is very straight forward to modify, from memory you pretty much just need to add the wires for rear doors. You should cutout and keep the boot floor as this is M3 specific due to the exhaust. It comes out pretty easily but tbh you would do well to just cut the rear of the car off and poke it someone in the garage as that will have rear wings parts and boot floor for you to use. Interior mirror is also M3 specific and I think the ABS unit (despite looking the same) is also different and should be kept. There were two versions installed in the E46, the red M3 one is the later type (not sure on your touring) but if they are different you might need to keep wiring + sensors (yaw etc) from the M3. Suspension, brakes, subframes (basically everything mechanical) bolts right in.

@@drewdavis239 I believe its an MSS54. My donor car was a 2004 M3 and has the ecu and full wiring loom from that. It has the later ABS/TC with the M button enabled - which I think was a CSL thing. Mine is an SMG car with an Evolve map on it.
