I found a Laguna Seca Blue E46 BMW M3 abandoned on the side of a race track last year. I bought it and decided to restore it, working through all the common problems and some not so common problems. Now the car is ALMOST complete i was invited over by @Drivetribe to the smallest cog workshop so Richard Hammond and his team could check it over and give there opinion on it. What an opportunity!

What I will say is that my impression of Richard Hammond before this was that he is a down to earth guy that knows all about cars and engineering. For him to get involved with this channel which hasn't got a million subscribers yet but soon will have. To me proves that he is exactly what I already thought top man. Great footage thanks.

Hammo’s going / gone broke!! He sold of all his collection of car’s and bikes to keep his garage open. Hammo is smart by getting the young exposure through this channel!! I got the opposite impression, it felt like this was a contractual obligation for him and he just winged it, he was acting a bit elite with what he said and how we carried himself. It didn’t look like much was offered in terms of him giving up a lot of his time for this. His team looked over the car which took an hour and Richard probably gave 10 mins of filming then went back to his day to day. Mat deserves more

Just a heads up they are non M3 wheel hubs/bearings that you fitted. They will fit the stub axles, as they did but are incorrect for the car. For one they are missing the locating lugs. 🤷‍♂️

just a tiny tip here: put aviation sealant on the wheel bearing hubs, not grease as it won't last long and actually make it harder to remove the bearing later. it turns to something like clay, as does anti-seize compound.
