In our Malaysian Aquascaping Group we always recommend beginner to watch Green Aqua's video to get some in depth knowledge on aquascaping while Josh Sim's video for a deeper knowledge on their 'more professional' tank. Josh Sim's workshop video indeed an eye opener video of all time for me. Beside his workshop video, all of Green Aqua's video are amazing!. I really hope Balazs and his team can upload more video (2 or 3 videos per week perhaps?). It really inspire and teach us a lot! Keep up the great work!

A lot of times when we look at a hardscape, we look at it as a whole integrated scape and how it made us feel without giving enough thought on the technical part of the scape. When you broke everything down and explained the details, it made me realise that everything from the texture of the hardscape to the angle of every rock placement etc etc is done deliberately and with careful considerations. This is extremely helpful for aquascapers because it will make us more mindful of everything that goes into the planning and setup of the scape. I've finally realised that creativity is not something "random" but has a technical or structure in which we create this perceived “randomness”. Thank you very much for this very helpful video!

You are welcome. You'll have to know though, that there are naturals, like Viktor for example who just do these thing subconsciously, so you can "feel" the design. I'm more of a logics-based guy, so that's why I do it like I do.

My, my, my, my... you've outdone yourself with this one Balazs! I can't help but pausing the video many times just to see the detail of the rocks setup. The depth is amazing....not to mention this entire setup still not completed yet, but the rocks already scream grandeur and majestic that give me this fantasy world vibe..If you stop right here and stick 1 dry branch somewhere and fill the entire tank with water, the layout will still make sense and beautiful. Even the rock on the right with line texture is carefully chosen and boy..., it's not only makes the detail but also beautify the entire right side in another level! I'm not an expert about that josh sim rules, but believed me this is really something to look at! I can't wait to see the finish tank! Thank you for uploading this 👍

Thanks for the kind comment. Hope you'll like the end result, I'm a bit afraid that the strong lines of the rocks will be somewhat diminished by the planting. Will see.
