I'm renovating my new (but very old) house at the moment - full thing needed redone: wiring, plumbing, everything. A lot of it has been stressful and shit I haven't done before as a relatively good but not amazing DIYer, but your channel gives me a real sense that everything is gonna be okay. Watching your videos calms me down and helps me feel like I can do it. Thank you man 🙌🏻 Keep up the great work.

Hi Jacob I live in the UK and I am the English version of you I have a huge amount of free wood that I have collected over the years and build all kinds of things for next to nothing If more people did what you do it would in a small way make the world a better place so good luck and keep up the good work All the best from Noel aka - The wood man 😉

Yo Noel, thanks for the message! Sounds like we are kindred in dirtbaggery. Using things you can scavenge is so satisfying. If I’m ever in the UK I’ll hit you up! :)

Just realized how much easier it is to get things on center when 1/2 the stick is a different shade. Real hacks.

Great stuff! Really recommend finding BIG pallets! At least where I’m from (Sweden) it’s doable, recommend small industries like the guys making signs they have the biggest pallets and those working with like steel sheets have the sturdiest. Just finished a 3x4 m shed, most of the big pallets I didn’t even have to take apart 👍

Other folks have made this recommendation too, I gotta look into it more! It’d be amazing to find some with 8ft stringers. Building the long lumber is both time consuming and questionable in terms of strength. Thanks for the thoughts man!
