Two things, I just started playing. 1: How do you keep yourself feed? I never find food or chickens. Or is it dying a lot and respawning? 2: The excitement when finding nails in these videos have become my wife and I's favorite thing.

Food can sometimes be hard to find when you spawn fresh as quite a few ppl may have already spawned in the same area recently and looted most of it. Zombies tend to spawn food quite regularly, you can get quite a bit from them as well as other good starting items like knifes. Chickens etc are best found by listening for them as you loot around. Also the sheds and small boats along the coast will spawn fishing rods and hooks, or you can craft a rod.

I don't know if anybody has mentioned this in the comments but you you could have used the pliers and the barbed wire to make a metal wire for your gate. Great content though! Keep it up!

Yeah we figured that out later! My biggest worry was the pliers being badly damaged and then not being able to do anything with them haha! Thanks tho, glad you enjoyed the content!

Hello Ar-k, i have build a base in this house too on livonia, i can only buil outside, i can build gate inside but only the low part, i think I could build the up part like you but I cant, do you have an idea why ?

Wolves...lol I remember when wolves scared me. Once I realized they weren't really a serious threat, I just viewed them as a food source. Watching this reminds how quickly I became bored with vanilla. Discovering DZSA kept me in the game. Modded servers are just better in my opinion. Higher populations, much better base building options, and more exciting. Your video editing is good. If you abandoned the boring vanilla servers, you would probably rapidly increase your subs.

after seeing you struggle for so long looking for pliers, it just reassures me that dayz needs a building overhaul update. more build pieces, more tools/allow tools to allow for more uses. only being able to make walls, and stairs, and converting walls into gates, has to be the most boring way to do base building. i should be able to barrciade doorways and windows, and make chairs and pieces of furniture. also make the base building items less rare, like tents and bike locks... would make this game so much more immersive

I like the vanilla aspect of things, and it being very hard to come across items, but the sheer lack of options with building is what frustrates me, only gates, towers, and fences! I just don’t enjoy the modded aspect tho, where it’s just pure build as much as you can in a silly amount of time

I'm finding it very difficult to build a base. I've got a tent set up so far in a Bush that surrounded the tent. Just really want to build a base but don't no where yet

Once you’ve got all the tools you need, find somewhere hidden and build a little 1x1 with a gate, or find a little building in the middle of nowhere and gate it off, there’s plenty of places out there
