I’ve watched this video about four or five times since it came and and gleaned new information every single time-but I’ve only JUST NOW realized that Matt’s putting right-handed. 🤦‍♂️ I really appreciate the little things like that you guys do to ensure the results are as unbiased as possible. David Edel fit me himself at a local country club last year. The result was what seems like a magic wand - the only putter I've ever touched where the ball goes where I'm trying to put it, consistently. I can't recommend Edel putters and their system enough.

Got an edel putter for my 50th birthday from my wife and what an eyeopener the fitting proces was for me.....had odyssey putters and several scotty cameron putters (also “fitted “ for my stroke in the shop) but now I know for sure that my edel putter suits my stroke and my way of alignment. With my scotty I aimed high right and after the edel fitter did his thing and slowly was building my putter my alignment went to the center. Also alignment lines didn’t help me but instead harmed my alignment😳....something I never thought could be. After the alignment was straight at the hole we went outside and than on the real green the weight of the putter was taking care of. At the end of the proces you can chose a personalisation and all that for the same amount of money as a Scotty from the rack.🤑👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 And also top notch service from Edel.👏🏽 My shaft had some burrs and Edel build a second one for me for free with an all black (special) shaft and I could keep the first one for putting at the office. My handicap dropped several strokes with the Edel putter because of a lot of 1 putts and very few 3 putts (3% 3 putts according to my shots Scope statistics). So I strongly advise everyone who takes his golf game serious to get an edel putter fitting and an Edel putter.😃

Had a putter fitting with John @ TXG last week. Worked with my current Odyssey #7. Then John suggested I try the Edel. Went through the fitting process and I was so amazed at how the Edel E-2 felt. Tried the shaft weights, head weights and alignment aids. It is truly an amazing process and putter line up. I cannot wait to purchase one and get it out on the course. Once again a huge shout out to TXG Chris and John I could not be happier with all my fittings there.

You just continue week after week to produce the best content. On top of touching on things other channels neglect or just don't cover you present it in such an easy and understandable matter. My favorite thing is that you explain the "why" when changing something. If I understand the reasons why you changed something and what it effects it makes it so much easier to trust it out on the course. All this translates to the fact that a fitting of any type at TXG has to be one amazing experience.

I went through their fitting for putter first, then wedges, then irons. I couldn’t put any more Edel in the bag! I went to Liberty Hill, got the Tour, met David, and heard how he came-up with all of this stuff. Truly amazing. Great people!!!

I went through an Edel fitting two years ago and haven't looked back since. Putting went from the worst part of my game to being able to save pars and save rounds. It is truly the best putter fitting option out there... I'm shocked that other companies haven't taken a page out of their book. So many people could benefit from this.

I had my E1 fitted in July 2018, I have never once considered it anything less than a magic wand ever since. Best £400 I ever spent and it is a thing of beauty too. I didn’t pimp mine, just plain black but I cannot advocate strongly enough how thorough the fitting process and build quality of these putter are. Why anyone would spend £400 on a driver and then buy an off the rack putter ‘cos it feels good is beyond me. Half your game is putting. Great vid fellas.

Looks like no-name glass cleaner. I use it for cleaning glass and wedges. Matt may have thought Ian was about to make him putt with his wedge. 😉🍻

The fitting I had for an Edel made a believer out of me. Fitter even let me "design" what I wanted from the Edel components (in addition to putting it up against my gamer), and what I was fit into (which was much different than my gamer/design) was soooo much better.

I use the Edel e-3 blade torque balanced putter and it is shocking to me how much better I am on the knee knockers then any other putter I have ever used. It’s the one club in my bag that I’m not in love with it’s aesthetics BUT damn it, it just works. David Edel is definitely onto something!

I did an edel fitting about 7-8 years ago and initially loved it, but then sadly fell out of love after a season or two...kinda like any other putter😂 The laser thing alone was worth the fitting session and had no clue I was constantly aimed left of the target quite a bit with my current setup.

What a great fitting system ,very adjustable , could you have done the same adjustments with a blade type head more to mattys eye , he likes a blade type normally . Excellent info as always Ian ,thanks for the content , through your channel the masses are getting more educated, we are learning so much about equipment and what to look for in our own selections , knowledge is power . I used to have a handful of putters in a rotation and got fit for an Edel 4 years ago and I ended up selling all my other putters, it just feels perfectly made for my stroke.

I've no problem with slow to medium greens. But I do struggle on fast greens. I'm thinking about going for a lighter putter. What would you recommend. I like malet head face type with a pistol grip? Cheers guys

Matty / Ian - thoughts please. I like to have my hands forward creating some shaft leane as per quintics holy grail / unicorn feedback. My EVNROLL only has 2 degrees of loft so in essence I'm delivering 0 at impact which would be detrimental. Not sure now to deliver more loft and forget about shaft lean at impact?!

Personally, SBST always made more sense than any arc. It’s “easier” to achieve when the putter is face balanced. Besides length I only focus on lie angle at address. I never had a system to measure dynamic lie angle. My putter is built as flat as allowable so at least it looks level behind the ball. Standard always sits too upright for me. What amount of dynamic lie angle up or down is allowable before Edel recommends an adjustment?

ian, how can you make sure the laser is exactly perpendicular to the net? if its off by a bit then the laser will bounce off to either direction, depending how off it is.

mr. rbt IMO, it’s the light reflection off the club face that dictates where the laser strikes the dark background net behind the laser source beam. As long as the goal is to have the reflection return to a spot near the laser source, it’s just a matter of location not alignment. -Bill

@@williamfennell8175 The laser should bounce exactly where the laser source is, you are correct. if the laser source is not exactly perpendicular to the ball and tilted either right or left by 1 or 2 degrees then the reflection will bounce to the right or left, respectively. I wish I could upload a picture of what I’m thinking in my head haha.

My only question - doesn't this edel fitting system ignore preference of head? Matty was in a blade but the semi mallet was easier to align for him - what if someone wanted a blade because of the way they perform but had issues with alignment? I'd assume other specs would be addressed to fix this? The rest of the system looks amazing though, I would kill for my putter to have been custom built like I wanted

Whenever I go through a Putter fitting it shows that what I see as aiming at the hole is actually off to the right. My most recent Putter fitting got me into an Odyssey StrokeLab Exo Marxman, the mallet shape does help but I am still having to make a manual adjustment by toeing the Putter in slightly. It would be fascinating to see if an Edel fitting could straighten out what I "see". Does anyone know if Edel have a fitting facility in the UK?

Went for a putter fitting, Edel system not available. After watching this video unfortunately the only resemblance to your fitting process was by incorporating fitting in the name. Never been convinced the putter i was sold at double the market price was the one for me. The shaft angle at address info very useful. Now i know why sometimes the trailing edge of my putter drags on the putting surface.
