Its been really awesome to see Logan progress over the years. I have had a few of his stock series and was lucky enough to get a full custom from him. Its great to see him being recognized by the big names in the game. He deserves it. Incredible drive, artisanship, and attention to detail. His success is well deserved.

@@Mark_4_Now fair enough. I'm just secretly over here hoping he rips off the del Mar/ oddysey #9 in the next release. Seriously though all we are missing is a circle T stamp and a $400 embroidered headcover and the world has another Bettinardi/SC. Not throwing shade on that, there's one in my bag. I just don't want to pretend this is something that's never been done. This story needs to be one of taking classic designs, applying slight modifications, slightly different stamps, and shitting it out like it's art when it's really a carbon copy of what's already being done only at smaller scale. That said, I want one.

@@BB-vy6ig The explosion of intrigue in Logan Olson & Tyson Lambs putters is their attention to detail in the creation of bespoke, 1 off custom designs. As we already know most of these artisan putters will get limited play if any at all. That's why it's imperative they make limited runs for the layman, maybe even a Del Mar version. Your style of putting is complete opposite to mine, I'm a face-balanced no neck blade kinda guy(Bettinardi BB-14). The only advancing of better designs in putters i've seen in over 25 years is Lab Golf & Dave Curry Designs. May your Del Mar dreams come true!
@BB-vy6ig7 ай бұрын
@@Mark_4_Now I couldn't get that lucky! Maybe I was a bit hard on Olson. Seeing some of the custom stamped, welded neck (though I do love this look), twisted neck stuff on the website puts off real SC custom shop vibes. I since found his Instagram and I'm a bigger fan of the bimetal insert stuff, some of the less audacious grained/treated metal work. Respect, now I'm imagining some of these takes on a Del Mar inspired shape and I want one even more. I'd never heard of Dave Curry, but looking at his website. Really interesting stuff! I'm ordering one of those damascus steel divot repair tools right now.

I love his craftmanship and he seems to make good stuff. But it makes me wonder what's 'wrong' with his putters, Scottie had one and has gone on a tear without it, Nelly had one and is going on a tear without it, Collin had one and dropped it, Tommy tested one and dropped it, Rors was seen testing one but he hasn't used it, can see scrap tubs with "Woods" on it, never seen him with one. They're good putters no doubt just makes me wonder
@rubenlievens26807 ай бұрын
Yeah the part about scotty using one was a bit weird, but I guess they are more of an art piece than a truly functional putter like a spider or even a df and mezz. As more technology has gotten in putters you see more and more pros switching from blades to mallets and stuff. And he doesn't really talk about testing his designs. rather he talks about creating them and while they look georgeus that doesn't matter if the balance is off.

I was looking for this same comment. A lot of pros used em for 1 event and dropped shortly after. Not going to stay in business long if there's no performance and tech behind the putters.

It says on his website the first batch of putters were $850. So, if sold a few hundred to 1,000 or more then he's in business. Also, he said his business started as a "job shop." If you don't know what that means, it's where someone or a company needs something designed, or made, or manufactured in small enough quantity, then he gits er done. He then started his putter business. I think it's awesome!
@cartermahoney73497 ай бұрын
@@glenj.taylor2938I agree it’s super awesome. And I guess it depends on how many he’s making. I assumed it’s only a couple a day at most. And rent on that space plus paying for those machines is probably over like 30-50k a month?

Putters. The most overrated scam in golf. If you can’t roll a true putt with a $50 putter, a $500 putter isn’t going to help you. And vice versa. I putt just as well with a 1980’s ping as I do with my SC Newport. Putters are the quintessential scam in the world of golf. Look at those good good predators. Charging teenagers $300 for a putter. Preying on their fans

no ones expecting them to make you putt better. some people like to invest in items that they enjoy, whether its for aesthetics, to support creators you like, or simply cause you like the feel. keep putting with your 80's ping and let people spend money on what they want.

What a godawful take. This is like going to someone's home and complaining that none of the cupboards do anything different than the ones you grew up with, so why'd they spend $50k remodeling their kitchen? Well, some people like midcentury modern, some people like ultramodern, some people like a rustic cabin feel, and some people need it to fold away perfectly because they live in a 600 sqft tiny home. None of them will help you make better food, but when you step into your kitchen and know it's exactly how you want it? That comfort and confidence is literally making your life better.
@themuscovyducks7 ай бұрын
It's not a scam, in this case and other companies, the putters are art work. Also, the small batch is always going to be more because not only is it time cost but materials as well. If someone knows the price and is a willing buyer then that's their choice. While it's true that no putter will make someone's stroke better, there's nothing wrong with free market economy of selling clubs for a higher fee.
