Here's what I especially appreciate about this video: The music is constantly changing, which tells me it wasn't a quick process. People watch these KZbin "tutorials," here one string of music and think that it actually isn't as complicated as they think. IT IS! These types of constructions take a lot of time and sweat. Great video.

It is def a big job. I built a farmers porch took me a few weeks working on it about 4-6 hrs a day. I was beat at the end of the day. Great video. I had music going the whole time i was building...makes the work so much better 💜
@gnarbeljo89802 жыл бұрын
Sorry but that's bc there's only a specific number of seconds or beats rather, of any copyrighted (known) music track you can dare to use in a vlog or video without being immediately sued for copyright infringement if you can't afford to pay royalties or have written permission by the copyright owner (label or artist or both) This is a consistent choice Hannah makes for all her vlogs rather than other youtubers who subscribe to online libraries of thousands of copyright- free original tracks made for filmmakers, media companies, marketers and broadcasters. They allow you to use entire tracks of all kinds of music in their stock, by single purchase or subscription including use of x amount of tracks per month. If you chose to use poptunes by famous contemporary recording artists, you are always taking a wild chance as there isn't a definite legal right to play any of it. There's however a common misconception (myth) that you are allowed to play 30 seconds, ehich frequently gets people in real trouble. The definition of "fair use" as it's called by lawmakers has many parameters. Hannah's choice means she has to literally cut the tracks, that's including tracks played irl she's listening to in thr video, not just music added in post production. Personally I find all the tracks cut to soundbites end to end really distracting and annoying, but it's her content and her risktaking, and being true to yourself is what YT is about so definately not my business. I do find it interesting that you interpreted this the way you did though. It wouldn't have occured to me people don't understand this, and that vloggers almost always add music only in post production and if filming a situation with music playing (on the radio, a device, a live performance) they absolutely MUST cut the sound at 30 sec to have a chance at not losing a law suit. All the big record labels have programs they run on that identifies music, names of artists, composers and related words to detect unlawful use, copying, and sharing all the time which is why "content unavailable" banners show up alot, especially if seraching for music. That goes for film and tv productions too. Only there's the exception of so called "reaction videos" critique/reviews and educational purposes in video, filmclips and music. What's legal is sharing the copyright holders official music videos and filmclips from their channels.
@jksatte2 жыл бұрын
I didn't think about that with the music but you are absolutely right. It is quite the process.

That deck is super nice looking good job! You said your house isn’t lvl, and it made me think of one restoration show episode, where they talked about trees affecting the house, more specifically roots destroying the base of the house, since they lift up the ground under the house. So it makes me wonder is there maybe a trouble with the tree right beside your cabin? Maybe there’s another reason for your house tilting a bit, but i couldn’t walk past not mentioning it to you, in case that information will help in any way!
@Newcards4u2 жыл бұрын
Her house is a little lifted from the ground I think, so the tilting is probably from lack of either measure it when building, or just part of the blocks sinking with the foundation (just put on top of the dirt)

Good morning Hannah. Excellent video with superlative production values. - so inspirational, motivating and heartfelt. But of course, that's to be expected from a strong self sufficient woman such as yourself. My favorite method of maintaining a sustainable pantry and garden and stockpiling items long term for the whole family s what I consider to be the most practical, utilizing every type of technology both old and new. . Except for the fruits and vegetables that get canned, I keep perishable items like meat, poultry, fish, fruit, vegetables and dairy products in the refrigerator on a short term basis until I'm ready to use them for a big family meal - and for even longer term sustainable storage, a large separate freezer, which can store a half side of beef with plenty of room left over for homemade ice cream etc. . I'm considering upgrading to a walk-in freezer at some point.in the near future, if my plans to open a bed and breakfast come to fruition. Sometimes, however a nice round of cheese can do well for quite awhile on a pantry shelf at room temperature - and doesn't mind even if it has to stand there alone. Store bought canned goods get shelves.in the large pantry closet - several for canned meat like corned beef hash, spam and sandwich spread and another for canned vegetables Bread, rolls, grains, homemade pasta, cereals and the like are stored in special humidity controlled bins I order from Amazon Prime - which usually get delivered to my doorstep about an hour after I order them. . Stuff from the family garden and orchard, like onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, cauliflower, cucumber, pumpkins, carrots, corn celery,, potatoes and yams, cherries, blueberries and strawberries get canned in Mason Jars and stored in the cool, root cellar of this wonderful rambling former farmhouse (circa 1867) I share with my extended blended family and several rambunctious dogs raised on table scraps from the some of the finest food from a plethora of sources both commercial and home based. . There's even a special separate "summer kitchen" which I converted to store butter and ice cream churns, pots, pans, utensils, extra storage containers, foil, bags, cutlery, and other meal related accoutrement. Out back in the woods, just beyond the big pile of wood I maintain all year, (for use in an antique woodstove I keep on hand, in case the power goes out) there's even an old rusting vintage still where my great grandfather made some of the finest corn whiskey for miles. Next to it is the rusting hulk of the Ford Model A he used to transport that powerful hootch by the light of the moon on soft summer nights to his eager customers in a tri-county area. Further into this verdant forest of mostly sycamore, oak, pine and scrub, runs a cool stream into which I occasionally cast a rod or net to catch some Brook Trout, Bluntnose Shiners, or whatever takes the bait (just earthworms for the most part). And yes, hunting season means wild turkey, deer, and even an occasional wild boar. Next week, I'm planning on filing for a permit to 3-D print a smokehouse in order to be able to create gourmet artisan handcrafted, beef, bacon, turkey, and beef stick jerky, which interested local merchants can private label for other people to share with their families and their family dogs. Unfortunately, I had to break the bad news to my free range hens today that due to expected egg shortages regretfully numbered are their days of laying a couple of eggs and then basically taking the rest of the day off with ranging privileges' within the parameters of a few very nice rural acres - parts of which are rich with fat grubworms. There's even a short dirt road between the main barn and the farmhouse which they're free to cross to get to the other side as often as they'd like. My rooster Ben overheard me and he ain't too happy either, knowing full well that due to oncoming egg shortages, he'll be "workin' overtime to make sure there's plenty of eggs for the family and I. Godspeed moving forward and have a great week. 😉😉🌹🌹🌻🌻

Thank you for the home project builds. More inspiring then anything I ever saw on This Old House. Enjoy the music, also more inspiring than anything I remember from This Old House.

AMAZING!!!The only thing I would have done different was to get those trees out right by the house. I currently have a cabin with a very large pine right next to the house that I have to take out...Just a thought.

I'm impressed by your notching skills too. A granny in Australia. Hi to your grandma - she has a talented granddaughter.

I love the juxtaposition of how “feminine” Hannah dresses and comes across but how “masculine” her lifestyle is and the fact she has equal parts of both perfectly simultaneous feminine and masculine energy at the same time. I really aspire to be so comfortable with myself like that and look up to her a lot for it! 💕

I don’t know which I like better…your singing & dancing or your building! Either way, you are a rockstar!

Heey... nice timing, I was wondering how you're getting on! 😃 ♥the notching! I hope the previous owners are watching ...to see how it should be done 🤔 Professional construction vs ...err ...yeah 😂💯 Great soundtrack! 👌

I guess that by the time she decides to tackle the foundation issues of her cottage/cabin, she will be skilled enough to do all the construction…
@Daytona22 жыл бұрын
Hannah's already skilled enough by the looks of it @@tduenchan - as soon as I saw how she was building the deck, I though that it could easily be the basis for a house extension ...but why attach sound construction to wonky construction 🤔
