The building montage was absolutely amazing, but what was even more so was the plot twist that you can literally see every single player and their servers form a spiral galaxy. Now THAT'S impressive. Instead of a list of players, this game instead decided to make the server selection scene an entire Milkyway.
@anteshell

That wasn't a plot twist, though.

@@pr0x1madigital A plot twist is something that turns already established expectations around. A mere unexpected thing does not constitute as a plot twist. No twisting of expectations are happening here because there wasn't any expectations about getting your name and the world to the galaxy to begin with. It was just an unexpected ending for those not playing the game. Not a plot twist.

@@Jiangcool9 Though the amount of veins/nodes in DSP does is far more than the amount in Satisfactory. The amount of content of the veins/nodes is unlimited in Satisfactory, whereas in DSP the veins/nodes with exception of the oceans and the atmospheres of gas giants can deplete. Since the appearance of the Dark Fog though, an unlimited source of resources has appeared, that also provides opportunities for new technologies.

What's crazy is that you can have multiple Dyson spheres around the same star, just with different circumferences. So you could make a "Dyson onion" if you will. Also if you set the radius to max, and have a planet orbit inside the sphere, it's ray receivers work 100% of the time. Great for making interstellar power plants or critical photons.
@BMindfulofLove

@punthebun

I believe the "dyson-onion" already exists as a concept. But instead of using it for pure power generation, it is used to power the most powerful 'single' 'computer' ever conceived: a Matryoshka Brain. A computer/AI so powerful, it can perfectly simulate EVERY SINGLE ATOM IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE IN REAL TIME.

@palmberry5576
@palmberry5576 7 ай бұрын
@@punthebun yes, but you cannot simulate the whole universe using less matter than there is in the whole universe. This is easily provable by considering what would happen if the computer were to simulate itself recursively. It would have to be able to store an infinite amount of information with a finite amount of atoms and be able to perform calculations infinitely quickly. (There are probably quantum level limitations that could also physically prove this to be impossible, but I’m not quite knowledgeable enough to make a definitive statement about them)

I have never even got near starting a sphere let alone all the prep work. I just about get by with the basics but the spaghetti is crazy..... Too used to just winging things and hoping for the best. I will admit I have used blueprints from a brilliant and very generous guy called Nilaus. His mall design is the first thing I build. I do play on his seed and I find how the game records it brilliant. I also really like The Dutch Actuary and his way of playing. I need a lot of guidance as I am a chronic procrastinator so following along I find enjoyable. Your very good to watch too,, your Satisfactory builds are, as usual for me, a must watch. I hope you have a great day and thankyou for all the hard work you put in making these video's. Big hugs from the UK

favourite thing to do is set up a Dyson sphere in a system with at least 1 tidally locked planet. Cover one side of the planet in Dyson receivers and the other in battery chargers and logi towers to spread the power throughout my factory cluster. If i'm understanding it correctly the next update will be amazing for this system since i'll be able to set up "relay hubs" for my batteries instead of every planet fighting over the limited number of ships my generator worlds have.
