Drums. Drum modules are fun. I like making drums/percussion with other things. Low Pass Gates are something I've been using more. Actually the Mother 32 can do some nice drum sounds using square mixed with some noise, turning off sustain, filter cutoff way way low and resonance up really high.

I'm bad at guessing lately... I'm giong to predict that you either get the Hexinverter midi to cv, or the Befaco. If you had eight separate synths, you'd want the expert sleepers Disting's break-out midi din module.

I didn't hear any sound that is not possible on the Roland TR-8S or RYTM. I think you could have several TR-8S for what you put into that Eurorack drum stuff or a couple RYTM's. That said, this may be more about having fun than anything else.

Thanks! At the moment I try to focus on other things than sample packs and sound packs. But I might get back into making those packs later this year. Got 2x sample packs on Patreon based on Analog Rytm.

Agree most of my friends that are into Eurorack and have serious setups still have kept their Elektron gear for sampling/sequencing their modules. I am not wealthy enough to buy the 150k Eurorack builds that I see guys like mylarmelodies feature on their videos and no company wants to sponsor me with free loaner gear to give product demos or reviews. Elektron was good balance to have similar benefits and smaller package for travel.

How much does that cost? Shame it's a mono mixer too. Lots of fun to be had though, the beat step looks brilliant, I'm buying one for the DRM and juno. The DRM is quite close to your set up there, no modulating by wire though but €550 ish.

Individual synths are always more affordable. But you shouldnt go eurorack if money efficiancy is important. Eurorack will always be quite expensive. The mixer costs like 50 euro I think. The whole rack I dont want to think about ;-)

Ha ha yeah so have most of my jam buddies well half of them anyways. First they start on laptop with Ableton or Maschine and then they go to Elektron or Korg hardware synths/drum boxes and then to semi modular then to Eurorack! It is like those who start in a cheap sports car and as budget allows upgrade to a Porsche and then if they hit it big move to a Ferrari or Bentley. Same with houses- rent at first then condo then home. I love the cool hands on features of modular but not rush it until I squeeze out what I can do with Elektron and my other gear.
