I've been looking for a fiber optic light illuminator for a few weeks now that has 2 ports and each port can be changed independently. No one seems to even understand the question. Can anyone help?

Wish .com but you'll have to really look at the length of the fiber optics. It's so many strands per illuminator.. I'm hunting for something that I can just drill the holes, run the lines and attach multiple illuminators (synced) to one surge protector in the attic above the room it would be over. Out house flooded..Sheetrock is finally back up but I was laughed at about this idea then looked it up and haha it's a thing!!! So the ceiling is already up. I'd be in a crawlspace popping fiber optics downward lol that's after I move "itchylation" (lol insulation) out of my way first, then put it back when I'm done.. I'm pretty sure it's gonna look like a spider took a dump of webs scattered about, when I'm done.. Luckily insulation will mask it from the crawlspace and the plug strip will be accessible easily via crawlspace door, none of that visible from the bedroom below.. I'm painting the ceiling black with a glitter coat over it (another DIY using mod podge with glitter over the paint then a sealant over that. You won't see the fiber optics unless they're turned on..) for my daughters new bedroom. :) good luck, Rob!

Rob Shane spooky ghost is right, wish is also like aliexpress. I found both helpful but wish items aren't always from over seas, meaning they arrive a lot faster. Other times they still go through customs and take forever. Try both to find a better price for you. It's all like eBay but less expensive, tons of sellers for easy ability to price shop items and shipping costs, etc. (didn't know I was under my sons account on this device... Smh..) -Tessy

what kind of glue you are using ?

Wood glue. It doesn't hold extremely well, but i doesn't damage the fibers like some more agressive glues do.

Hi Eric, I'm looking at using this technique for a slightly different application that would require the strands to hang down in a stagger, rather than being clipped flush with the ceiling. Based on what you've seen with the lighting effect, would this work? Or would the strands be entirely lit up rather than just on the ends?

It will be mostly the ends with this type of fiber, though there will be a little bit of glow from the sides
