Daryl and I like the fan. It also comes in handy when the power goes out and we can't use the blower. We have a thermometer on our stack as well. I had gotten one that had a magnet, but later found out we needed one with a probe because we have double walled pipe. That was an easy install. You cannot beat wood heat. We both have the same rant you do lol. Great bloopers at the end. ☺

Good to hear the fan report. I like knowing what the temp is running. I agree wood heat is something special. Lol I am glad I'm not the only one who thinks that! Thank y'all for watching!

Hello Brook and Colton. Glad the fire starter works. You know it’s funny how people question and judge. Before people were on grid (central heat and air) they were off grid (wood stove and heaters). I think it is smart to have a wood burning stove. When it’s cold and your electricity is off wood burners come in handy. I have sinuses and the wood burners heat does not bother me but central heat does.

It works pretty good! Yeah it is. That is the truth - people have been having a fire forever. They really bring peace of mind when going through outage or winter storms.

Love the "How To" for fire starter. The dryer lint works as a wick as the wax melts, and burns like a candle. Suggestion: Leave a portion of the cotton ball free of wax. Then you can just light the cotton ball.

Just thought... Why use cotton balls at all? Just add wax to your dryer lint. Save money on not buying cotton balls.

Thank you for watching! That is right! We done some half dipped & some completely & have came to the same conclusion you did now that we have used a few since the filming of this video. Thank you for the suggestion

Hi guys, welcome back. You have been missed. It looks really good. Can you open the doors and watch the fire? You are using what the good Lord gives you. We use all the burnables in our campfire. I wonder on the fans if it would be going if tour fire was on the left? I’m a worry wart. I know you both watch out for Cowboy. I would still be worried about lil britches. Thank you for the video!

Thanks for watching! We can open one of the doors and watch the fire, but normally don't open both. That is right - use what we have. I does start turning faster when the fire is started on that side, but once it heats up good it turns no matter what side it is on. We do watch him very closely & no he normally will say "hot no no no" We also go a step farther & have a screen guard that we put up to keep him away from the stove, but we moved it in order to film. Safety is top priority!

I wish my stove area was that clean!! We always have ash everywhere! Cowboy is learning that's Hot! Hot 🔥 don't touch! What was the wax stuff you used? Colton is all dressed up, very nice!! Love the gray Hat❤

Having the ash pan helps keep some of that under control, but it is still messy. That is right. We also have a screen we put up to keep him away from it. Gulf wax is what we used. Thank you! I really like this hat!

I used to love to build a fire in the fireplace. I had to switch it over propane. After I broke my back I just couldn’t carry the wood anymore.

I understand that. I wish you wouldn't have had to go through that.
