not sure thats the best block to go for, you will still have ovalling of the bore with the shims. ideally needs much thicker liners with support at the top. pretty sure pumaspeed have upgraded blocks for sale

I’d be going closed deck while I’m there

From my experience the block doesn't like a closed deck as it was designed with the coolant passes to improve heat dissapation.
