I’m 69 we live on 100 acres in Ontario. We are self sufficient. Having a large garden. Raise our own meat. Solar energy. I take wood off our property to heat our 120 year old farm house. If I was to do it again . I’d move further out away from people and build a log house. Well done.

We finally have spotty internet service and phone, so we don’t feel so isolated. Luckily our little community inside the subdivision pulled together and so far had little damage to our homes as compared to other areas in this location. Yesterday we were able to get a generator and (most of all) gasoline. But I’m feeling a little like you, I cook our meals on the fire pit using the fallen debris. Thanks again for your inspiration!

His wife does an huge amount of work. She tends most of the gardens and green house. Does the harvesting and then preserves and cans everything for both summer and fall crops. She probably does the research for raising animals, new crops and sourcing of supplies, so Shawn can continue building. I have not seen any information which indicates she has left her previous employer. So her 'cabin' activities would be in addition to her regular employment hours.

In response to time code 26:43 when you ask Cali "What are you doing? What was that?" (and just before the common Loon, so often misused in films), from my experience working with the K9; when a dog walks between your legs; from behind, tail wagging; then sits... well that is a sure sign of total trust and compassion. I love the way you keep her engaged, petted and left alone when required, despite such prolific work. And seeing her behaviour makes me so happy, as I know good; and bad dog ownership. You both are the former, you have the mutual compassion bond (No Wilhelm scream needed). But the best moment for me was seeing the 'Doss Sack' go down! Any time the bedroll goes out, on a flat surfave, good mattress; with protection from the elements... then Sir! You know you can catch some worthy Zed's. (Or Zee's; for you 'across the pondites'). I know the value of that recovery... and if anyone (not in Ukraine), deserved such recovery, then it is you Sir! Stolwart efforts, amazing results and the hugest of respect. Peace and Love; to you and yours. m out
