Bro, you are doing a heckuva job, considering you are doing it almost entirely by yourself. Be proud of that, especially as you are doing it to provide a home for your family.

What I find most impressive is your love and patience with your kids.. I could see getting overwhelmed with the millions of questions thrown at you by the "help".

I genuinely feel that editing the videos and rewatching myself with my kids opened my eyes to the slowing down and trying to answer his questions. He just wants to learn. Off camera he built a house out of cardboard like all kids do but he secured it to the floors with real nails. Wasn’t to fond of him driving nails into the subfloor but he knew exactly what to do and how to do it. That was a pretty awesome moment 😊

@@BreakingNewRoots I shouldn't laugh, but... He's just doing what Daddy does!

@@BreakingNewRoots Have you considered thinking out loud as you are working. Sort of answering the question before it gets asked. It could be he just wants conversation and connection.I

Where is your underfloor plumbing going to to be placed??
@BreakingNewRoots11 күн бұрын
Under the flooring.

Are you insulating under the floor? I’m in Iowa and uninsulated floors would be miserable in winter! I’m not even sure how to insulate that - seems like it’d be really tricky! Just a curiosity question. Your patience is outstanding! Good work!
@BreakingNewRoots12 күн бұрын
Didn’t plan on it. The rest of the house isn’t floor insulated. We will skirt the house to stop any wind or anything. We definitely don’t get the same cold Iowa has here!

No concrete footing under any of that? If not it will settle, i would also suggest joist hangers on all those floor joist, im not hating just dont want to see you go through all this hard work and have a sinking bathroom in a few years.
@pnhnut13 күн бұрын
I was thinking the same thing in addition to a moisture barrier and insulation.
@BreakingNewRoots13 күн бұрын
Floor joist hangers on all of them and concrete footings under it all. Not everything gets put into the video 😅

I am enjoying your videos, but your choice is pretty muffled so it is hard to hear what you are saying otherwise it is great
