Stanley saw horses. They have become one my most important bits of kit. I was pleased with this job. Most importantly the customer was as well. 😃 Wishing you and yours all the best. Mark 🎄

I always put a slope on top of the gate posts to stop water laying on top.

Nice gates. Couple of tips for you moving forward. You really want Coach bolts for gates so they can't be attacked / undone from the outside and they look nicer. You also should add another hinge to the middle of each gate. You did a good job of the braces on the gate but you are carrying the load from the top down to an unsupported side which will warp over time. Its not a major issue but if you had only ever planned on 4 hinges then technically your brace should go from the top outside corner all the way to the bottom inside corner that has a hinge there to avoid that warp. Personally I prefer the way you built the gates and would have built them the same. Nice job.

Doing ok Mark, looking forward to semi retiring at Christmas, just a bit too cold to go in my workshop at the moment, which is a shame. All the best to you, dawn and your family 👍

😂, that reminds me of the old joke of the bloke who asked how much was the 4"x2", to be told, we're metric now sir so it's 100mm x 50mm and it's £2 per foot 🤣. Nice gates by the way 👍

spot the mistake half laps showing one side apart from that not looking to bad

I spotted that straight away.If I did that, |I would guarantee the customer would refuse to pay until they matched. Obvious that he hung one gate the wrong way round and put the braces on in the wrong direction. Bad form really...

I would of put slats on both sides. 🙊

Absolutely useless video ..why did you bother. You didn't explain a single aspect of how you made the gate.
