I never thought to put water down before putting the weathering wash down. Looks like it makes things easier. Now to make another droid to hold the speakers. 😁 This was a great build. Thank you for sharing.

The Cube4 projector has speakers built in. That's why there's the vents on the side of the Gonk.

@@VanOaksProps I noticed you mentioning that in the video. My suggestion is just for a future project to get better speakers to use. I used a "wire loom split tube" (what I searched on Amazon) to cover the power cable for one of my projects. I beefed up the end that plugged into the port so the loom would sit snug. I used craft foam for this so it had some flex when fitting in.

Nice! I actually had that same idea to use the power connections for actual power just like you did and i was working on a connector that would hide the "earthy" plug. I'm sure you thought of it too and I can't wait to see it finished!

I haven't tried the spray adhesive technique yet. I've used truck bed liner or a krylon textured matt paint. Worked well but you don't have many quick choice for color so you end up having to paint over it anyway.

It's kind of the same with the spray adhesive. It doesn't have a color, but it looks better with color over it.

Cool build, is helping with my gonk droid (no projector) if it helps wood burners are good for making start holes in that type of plastic that's what I used.

Depends on the project. Something like a Gonk droid is really open to interpretation. So I just made it up as I went.
