The back pocket is big enough for an 11” ipad, but not a laptop. Bookpouch still for the laptop

Im just staying undecided between Northseeker 25 and Rainmaker 22 as my EDC and traveling bag. Currently using canbinzero 28 for 5 years but i has no real laptop sleeve, so have to be extra cautious when put it down on the ground.

So torn on getting the Northseeker or Rainmaker. The biggest hang up is the laptop storage. I love everything about the Northseeker except for the lack of a dedicated laptop pocket.

Hey Klint! I went through their site, and also watched the Greenroom video you posted. I’m all about supporting the little guy, and my next 3 bags will be coming from them!!!! Now I just need to learn how to customize a bag to my taste when it comes to external storage access and internal setup, along with dedicated laptop storage.

In a previous vid your recommendation was to get the 25 liter size but I see you got the 20 here. Would that still be your recommendation for someone buying a Northseeker for the first time?

Thanks. I’m not sure I explained this very well. If you are getting an off the rack version and you are including the book pouch, I think the 25 L is the smart play. But now that I can add the pocket on the back that I will use for my iPad, I won’t need to carry the book pouch with me, so I’m getting the smaller version in the custom. Please let me know if that makes sense.

What is the difference between a single panel and 3 panels configuration, I don't get it.

I got you. This just refers to the number of colored sections (panels) you want on the front of the bag. Three panel construction would give you three stripes of cordura - and you can select the color. One panel would be all the same color on the front of the bag,

I emailed them and they responded saying 32x19cm is how much space you get, definitely won’t be fitting a 15 inch laptop lol. Looks like it’s gonna be the medium rainmaker! I saw your custom rainmaker video you had no straps, did you just cut them off or can you put in the notes to not include them?

Hey Klint!! I was able to get an amazing deal on a Northseeker on Carryology Classifieds this morning. Unfortunately, the majority of the zipper pulls were scavenged from it, and there are no accessories at all. Do you know if Greenroom would be willing to sell the accessories alone? I looked on the online store and found some of them, but not the zipper pulls. Is there a way you know of to message them?

Is it really only 10.5 inches wide? It looks a little wider on video.

I just went with a tape measure and measured the width - the front panel is 10.5 but the sides poof out and the water bottle pockets poof out even more. So it’s technically 10.5 for the front of the bag but more than that by about an inch on both sides with cordura poof

Ok. Here’s the breakdown - and hit me up on IG if you have more questions (bitofawander there).

If you’re buying a normal bag from the site - you’ll just purchase as you would anywhere else. I have had my bank trigger the Malaysian purchase as potential fraud two times and call to confirm it was me making the transaction. Remember the prices look high on the site but you need to convert Malaysian dollars to US (or whatever your currency is)

If you were buying a custom bag, there’s really two different situations. The first is if your bag is fairly standard. If that’s the case, then you can go ahead and make the purchase as soon as you customize your bag. They will send you a confirmation. If your bag is more complex or, you just want to see a Proof of the design before they construct it, there is that option at the final payments screen to pay zero dollars and see and approve a proof. If you do that, they will send you the proof and once you approve, they will send you a link to make the purchase. It’s fairly simple, and if you have any questions I can help you out or you can send them a direct message on Instagram and or email and they will reply, although you will have to allow for the time difference.

Lastly, I would just say be patient, as they are still a fairly small operation who are growing in popularity, and working hard to resize things to meet that demand. Bags take a while. I’m still waiting on my custom northseeker and I expect to be waiting another month still after today.

I promise that I’ll be incredibly patient with them, and give them lots and lots of grace. I’ve travelled around this marble several time, and I know that the rest of this giant blue marble doesn’t reflect the values of the US.
