In Germany you are legally required to drive on the Autobahn as a driving student. It baffels me, that it is forbidden to do so in England. How do you learn to drive there if not in driving school?

Love this series! If you want to build fishery in you new suburb I highly recommend either a cargo harbor or train goin there. It just makes handling all the products/goods easier and less traffic intense!

@@WhatDarrenPlays To add, I think that area is just begging for a more impressive-looking metro station, although it may take some work to squeeze it in. Perhaps one of the three sunken metro stations from the Train Stations DLC, or the stadium station from the Sports Venues DLC?

At 23:50 you say that you have never seen a road that has banned private cars, in your limited time driving. They do sort of exist in Sweden and around in Europe, most often on individual owned roads or private areas. They have a 'Prohibition of vehicular traffic'-sign, and then an add-on sign underneath that says: 'Does not apply to authorised traffic', which in this case is often trucks or other authorised traffic.

Good luck on your next test! I finally passed after several (9) attempts last year! You will get there.. honestly its more of luck on the day that actual skill. Understand the wait on tests I had to set my alarm for 6am on the Monday get a test for 4 months in the future.. I then used an app which I chose my centre and dates I could do.. then for about think it was £10 they automatically rebooked for me when people cancelled.. cannot believe over a year later they havent sorted the long wait out! The pure joy when they finally say you have passed is worth all this stress you are going through! I failed a few times.. the most annoying fail was due to me not overtaking a cyclist even though i didnt feel it was safe (roundabout approaching) Such a frustrating time I remember it well! Wait till you pass as you see the idiots on the road makes you wonder how they passed! Good Luck :)

That's the lamest excuse for not allowing someone to get a driverslicence!! Where I live, the Netherlands, the instructor is the legal driver. Or the examiner. So it couldn't have happened here this way. They have other tricks though.. Good luck next round!!

If you’re turning right on a roundabout, you need to be in the right hand lane. Simple as that really.

I like the new bridge and the leisure part is a great addition. It looks a bit dingy and I like it that way ☺ Perhaps it would be even more dingy if you combine it with the cargo harbour that is now off to the left? I dunno, but I would lean into it if it was my city and it's not my city. So I'm looking forward to see what atmosphere you come up with. I was a bit confused about the taxi's on the new roundabout. For me it seemed they can't go anywhere but go around the corner through the lanes with the trams, because taxi's weren't allowed on other lanes then the designated buslanes. Although, like I said, it was confusing for me. So it migh not be the case. I think planning residential buildings on the quiet part of the waterfront would be a good idea. Inbetween where it's noisy could perhaps be another good spot for a little green field, surrounded by trees, which makes it perfect to plop a crematorium in there. I remember you said having trouble to put them, so that's why I've come up with that specifically. And a crematorium doesn't take up too much of space, it's a great noise buffer and people wil be happy (aka higher landvalue lol).

I'd suggest leaving the new sliced pie round about a little curvy, has a appealing look for tokyo drifts. And I would reckon others will agree that when in doubt pathways and sprinkled trees always adds value.

such a bummer mate. I failed my test three times in England as it's just punitive! I failed on a roundabout once, when I had to stop because the car in front of me stopped. The instructor said 'the moment the car in front of you stopped, you failed, because you forced the person behind you to stop. There's nothing you could have done to avoid failing'. The driving test in the USA is an absolute joke in comparison!

I feel like I need to know more about how your licenses work over there. In Australia we need to complete 120 hours of driving before you can sit the driving test, after that you pretty much just sit a 60 minute test scored out of 100 (the test includes parking etc) (or we have a log book option where you have multiple small tests but I didn’t do that :P)

In the Uk there’s no requirements for lessons or anything. There is in Ireland where I grew up, but in the UK its literally just book a test, teach yoursef if you want and if you pass you pass. You do have to have a theory test completed which is a 40 question exam you sit.

I am confused by your driving license test. Making my driving license in Germany required practice on all road types including the (sometimes) "no speed limit" Autobahn. Do you really have restrictions in the UK? How can they test the capability/qualification, if you're only allowed to drive there after you passed the test? Its not that, its that the road is where the motorway begins. If i travel south its A road, if I go north its M road. Considering it looks the same, has same speed limit and we drive on it off of this roundabout I never clocked the fact that once you cross passed the roundabout it becomes an M road.

@@WhatDarrenPlays That difference and the methode used for learning how to drive is crazy. In the Netherlands you must practice everything under the guidance of an instructor and if he thinks you are ready for your exam you're cleared to take a test. That driving-test is than taken by a state-issued instructor. But we have to practice everything as well. Motorway and all. So the fact you cannot practice that untill after you passed your exam is really strange to me. I do hope you'll pass next time you take your exam. By the way, loving your videos !!

Wait the law changed Learners are allowed on motorways as long as they are with a driving instructor and in a dual control car. So I dont really know why the tester said no? Edit: I looked it up on gov.uk and the law changed in 4th June 2018
