I am guessing it was those expertly painted kitchen cabinets that was a huge selling feature of the old house !

Planning on doing anymore footage of the process? Really enjoyed the video! Out of curiosity, would you might share who your home building buddy is? The concrete staining video is what drew me to your channel. I am from Northwest Indiana always enjoy following other good builders and learning from them. It says a lot that a builder did the same stain in his basement. Is he happy with the out come also like you? I plan on staining my basement floor also. Had LVP flooring and basement flooded 2" from sump pump failure. This seems like a better option for my needs. Thanks!

Hey James! Builder Buddy does not post anything on social media. Here’s the thing: we live on the Bow River up here and the chances of flooding are very real and the water table is super high. The number 1 reason I did that finished concrete was because I wanted to mitigate the damage in case of a pump failure. One other thing I did in that basement (at the last minute) was put all the electrical outlets 36” off the floor instead of standard height.

@@RinkVideo Appreciate the follow up and electrical tip Rink! I too live in a high water table area. Will definitely do the electrical tip next build. Cheers!
