Wow, Nicole definitely did a good job on that insulation. It looks like you're insulating the interior walls as well. That will make for a very quiet home.

It is an incredible feeling! It is so, so freakin quiet and so warm. Its a yeti cooler! yes, once in a while my two schizophrenic helpers show up for a shot or two. They are wildly kind and useful and never swear!

Very nice! Just wait until the sheet rock is in place; it all makes so much difference in the feel of a home. Kudos to the lady for doing this while so very pregnant.

She is amazing. I cant wait for the rock to be up. Cooking with onions now. Just ordered flooring for downstairs.

Things are moving fast! Great to see it. It will be great to see the sheet rock done too. Glad to see you are hiring a few of the big jobs out. Not sure if it's true, but I've heard it really isn't any more expensive to hire someone to do the insulation vs. doing it yourself. Will you hire someone to tape and mud too? Thanks for another great video!
@BusHuxley2 жыл бұрын
Yes, paying for mud and tape. i am terrible and it and slow. ill be taking three weeks of work to offset it, so that will do.
@dancudworth8963 Жыл бұрын
I've never seen that style of insulating before , looks like a good alternative to sips ? Is that true ? Or did you use sips to ?
@BusHuxley Жыл бұрын
Instead of sips. Rigid on the exterior for to stop the thermal bridging. All a lot more work than sips but I couldn’t afford them.

So how did she get the insulation behind the vapor barrier? Is this insulation more effective than the foam? Interesting video
@freeform332 жыл бұрын
I expect the vapour barrier will be on the back side of the Sheetrock on the outer wall surfaces
@BusHuxley2 жыл бұрын
So, it my case, the vapor barrier is on the exterior of the sheathing, the plywood i used. its the rigid insulation outside. if that was the barrier, she would patch all those holes with tape.
