Lots of stones here, other homes close by have bigger rocks, I got lucky with small ones. A glacier used to flow through here

@johnnynephrite6147 thanks! Had to get county building permit, HOA approval and permit, water and sanitation district permit, plumbing and electrical permit. Then plumbing and electrical inspections.

Should leave 8" to 12" between the ground level and bottom of the outside walls to prevent outside elements from touching causing water build up and moisture,rothing. Just saying.

No water proofing the cement board in the shower?

using Durock the seams need to be mortared but water proofing is not required, but I did use epoxy grout that won't crack or shrink or let water in.

​@@slothconstructionI enjoyed watching the vid. One thing though. Is installing shower surround tile onto thinset and concrete backer board legit without a waterproof membrane first? I just watched a bathroom remodeler guy a week ago and he was talking about having to have a membrane. Just curious is that I okay or if you kinda cut a corner. Pretty sure the proper amount of membrane goo costs $350 to $500 for one bathroom so I could see the motive to skip it.
