I have so much respect for you Dave, down to even the way you communicate and how you respect others, you're clear concise, always have a game plan and not scared to take charge on something. Truly an excellent carpenter/tradesman

These are sick videos. It's awesome seeing how other people do things! And hoe to think about certain situations!

It's nice to see a tradesman doing the same jobs as the apprentice. It makes them feel like they are doing important works. And have been there with anonymous worksafe calls. It generally ruins your whole day depending on the inspector

The neighbour must expect you to dangle from a safety line from a crane then for that crane to tip over and onto their house 😂😂😂 Neighbour is 100% upset at that massive house next to them.

This project to build a giant roof is not just an architectural work, but also a journey to explore human creativity! Have you ever wondered: What will this roof look like when it is finished? Let's follow the exciting and surprising steps in this process!

Great crew, nice work. I do cringe at the lack of helmets, but it seems to be normal on the Aus worksites. In UK/ Europe, everyone has a helmet on when there is work overhead. Sounding like a bit of a nag, but have you looked for hoists/lifters machines to assist with the overhead work, especially heavy beams? Back/shoulder injuries/pains can be especially limiting to your future and your work capacity. I'm sure you already know this 👍but just reinforcing the message to others. Look forward to more vids.

wouldn't it be easier if you had the trusses on the ground.That way you can organise them quicker without having to climb ladders and carefully move them about.
@TheCarty19863 ай бұрын
Depends on the delivery time and access for crane.. Normally they're organised somewhat so placing them directly on the roof where they get installed is the easiest option.
@DanTuber3 ай бұрын
@@TheCarty1986 Just looks difficult when they have to re-organise them high up, cos what they need is at the bottom of the pile.

That’s why we check them before we get them craned up, you organise the pile before the crane comes and you aren’t doing that

That's the trouble when you're working to a price, everything is priced so tight that you can't afford any extra time or delays, not many contractors want to put you on a decent day rate because they think you'll ease off and swing the lead, so they price it tight so you have no option but to absolutely work your nuts off! This is the reason I'm thinking of getting out of it!
