You didn't use any noggins in the walls, I think you Americans call them blocking. Stops the studs bowing under load.

Really like the two story idea for air drying and admire overbuilding philosophy that you and your dad have. If you’re going to do something, then really do it. Good quality to have I believe.

Man, if it's not one thing, it's another. I did 7 retakes on a video the other day because I wasn't happy with how I was saying what I wanted to say. Got to the end of one that I actually was happy with and a semi jake braked on me.

I just found your sight today and subscribed, cause I like your style. Anyway I'm now into your Kiln videos and I thought that if you build another kiln you might want to look into building it with SIPs, "Structural Insulated Panels". Check out www.sips.org/technical-information/r-values-in-the-real-world. Now I have to go back and view some more of your videos.

Just so you know, with the SIPs, the floor, walls, roof and doors can be made with these panels probably in one piece each. You can have any openings you require already cut in with wire chases where you want them. I'm not 100% positive but I believe you would be able to set the kiln on a good gravel base. Cheers.
