Be proud Peter, that is some beautiful work. I also want to say thank you, I have found inspiration in a bunch of boat building channels, no I am not building or even repairing a boat but I have taken up woodworking. As I type this I have about $1500 worth of black walnut in various stages of being milled for a project. Watching you makes it look easy, I know it is not but so far I am having great fun and reasonably pleased with the results. Its just a bed but I have always wanted to build a bed for my wife. 2025 will be our 45th anniversary and I want something special for her. ( You know the Stan Rogers song don't you ) I have a new grand baby due right at the end of the year, one heck of a good christmas present.

What a beautiful and moody place. I bet it’s incredibly stark at times and also very beautiful. It makes me think of that weird movie where they moved a house over the winter ice to a small island. Nice work, mate. I lived outside of Shelburne for a few years, right on the sea, and am all too familiar with that interminable wind that’s blowing in the background. I have to admit that, yes, BC is preferable…particularly at the rate that Irving is now charging for heating oil.

Fantastic to see some of the back-story. I also have a link with architecture, having worked as an Architectural Technologist many years ago and currently in Architectural Visualisation, although work is slow at the moment. I used to work for Autodesk, teaching 3d Studio, Ver 3 if you remember it. Before it became Max all those years ago. Currently (attempting to), return to my roots. West of Ireland. Nova Scotia looks remarkably similar.
