I used to carry a bigger pick but it was always banging the handle on my leg and I rarely needed to dig hard ground deep. I can still keep the heavy pick back in the vehicle in case it's needed.

awesome job mate i did the same thing but i used bizza plate 4mm thick its as hard as blazes but well done Phill, beats $65-$100 each at the shops aye.

Yes it's had a little try-out and has proven to be as hard as you'd expect a plough to be and strong too. I rarely need a heavy pick and this one is easy to carry.

Put a color full cricket bat grip on it

I find that anything on the grip area makes it difficult to put in a pull out of the leather pick holder.

@@moneybox5733 Havent found that myself, the other benefit is its less likely to slide out and you lose the pick. Great work on the pick, and hopefully have a few ounces to get out of the ground.
