The loft is a great idea, however I think I would use it for storage more then a bedroom. You are already feeling the heat and it will only get worse. I will wait and see how it turns out I could be wrong. Keep the videos coming.

You have the right idea that when it's cold that you wear gloves, some type of scarf around your neck. You lose the most body heat out of the head so cover your ears & head you will keep a lot of your warmth in & not get as cold. Im from MI USA so in the winter is gets pretty cold so we layer our clothing.

Fun video! Roger climbing the ladder and getting into everything and escaped goats getting into the chicken coop and the building site. You sure have your Hans full! Rodrigo, I think the loft will be just like having your treehouse, but much much nicer! I agree with other comments about adding insulation (to try to keep a bit of heat out and to muffle sound of rain on the metal roof). Also, either a good fan or small air conditioning unit in the loft. Have you considered making the loft just a bit bigger? You have lots of room to do that. Congratulations on increasing the numbers of viewers! I hope 2025 brings much success and happiness! Love you both! ❤️❤️

Y'all need zip ties. Hundreds of little zip ties for Jordans frames and some big strong ones for your ladder and tons of other uses in fences and just anything. Better than duct tape, rope and wires. You can buy metal and or plastic zip ties. They are not expensive. Amazon has them too.

An "attic fan" to pull air from the downstairs into the rafters would go a long way! It's the only way to survive hot summers but it would require cutting the roof or losing a window 😢

I'm confused why you guys put additional beams on top of the cross joists. Why not just use a smaller spacing on the bottom cross joists and place the flooring directly on top of them?
@HeartOfHippie3 сағат бұрын
I would have skipped most of the welding and cut notches in beams; cantilever, holding down by the weight put on with floor

Please be aware that your face masks only protect you from particulates and are NOT gas masks! Noxious gases have to be ventilated in order to be safe!! Cross ventilation (two openings and a fan) is the best way to accomplish this.
