Get yourself some sheets of damaged plaster board from one of the big sheds like B&Q (other merchants are available) to line the interior walls and ceiling. They knock out damaged sheets for about £1 a pop and they usually only have a corner broken, nothing to worry about. Try and get the foil backed sheets if possible but if not available just use a moisture barrier on the wall/ceiling before applying PB. You can then just fill the joints, sand and paint or go the whole hog and plaster everything. This will get rid of any ridges in the OSB joints where OSB has become detached from inner core.
@decab82925 жыл бұрын
Good for mate, get the youngen's involved and teach them some basic tool skills. Keep a lookout for sheet cladders and get some corner flasings off them. It will give you a good few years of service. Divent worry about the negative comments off folk.

Hi thanks for taking the time to share your project with every one..I am thinking of building a simple structure similar to yours that I could live in maybe for an extended period.. I am hoping to design and fabricate the panels myself...just to see if it can be done..!I am about your age..infact you look like me...I am in Glasgow. I would value your input... I have used screwfix expanding foam adhesive a lot and found it great stuff..do you think you could use polystrene and 2 sheets of osb to make you own boards using expanding adhesive to join them..? Do you think you could use fibreglass system to bond the boards on the inside (to frame) and join the joints on the outside..? a bit like how they build a boat.. and finally if i did tape/fibreglass the joints on the outside...how could i finish the exrerior to keep it waterproof..? Thank in advance...

Hey bud, you’re talented and should be proud of your work. I hate to ask, but please consider a little bit of pro touches. Segment like, recording, editing out needless dialogue, making diagrams to put on screen, and a tripod. Dialogue should be used sparingly, only when needed, think golf scores. I recently saw a fantastic KZbin clip, maybe it was a kit to purchase but there’s a ton of free apps with easy tutorials. You’re too good to be cast aside for knowing your craft more than fancy video editing applications. I was amazed at what the photoshop type editing for video has for free. I admire your effort but a little detective work would have paid dividends. That timber sat on DPC flat on the slab will allow water to soak the timber and OSB and will just suck up water. You should have run a . single row of engineer grade brick with the DPC on top, then whatever exterior cladding is used to take water over the edge and onto ground away from your SIPS.
