I bought a crash damaged Mercedes c63 W204 saloon and im rebuilding it but with an C63 Black series bodykit. There is still alot of cosmetic work & mechanical. The headlights still have an issue and i cant start the car without jumping it. In this video i go through the problems one by one hoping to diagnose what the issue is.

Mat three things.. 1.. let your painted trims finish gassing otherwise your lenses will mist with chemicals, 2.. don't use tiger seal or silicons on the seal channel or inside as these also gas A LOT which stains the lens, 3.. next time you paint chromed plastics like headlight shrouds use some oven maid or any other oven cleaner.. it strips the chrome off perfectly and reduces the risk of the paint reacting (which might not happen for a week or two) I found out about these the hard way and resealing them constantly is painful

Quick tip when you're doing headlight blackouts you can use plastidip,you don't have to sand anything,it won't chip over time and it's all reversible if you want.done it a few times and works absolutely great

Headlights looking good. One note, I hope you don't have to open them again any time soon. Tiger seal is a mare to take off. Headlights are sealed using Butyl Rubber.
