Building a Model Railroad / 03 / How to set up Märklin signals

We will build a model train from scratch in the next couple of episodes
On this table top in front of me we will create a beautiful model train landscape during the series. In this episode we want to set up the signals.

Very nice. However, for realism, I find the option where you don't cut the current to be best. Even with a breaking module, if the train goes in the opposite direction, it should not stop, but it is stopped when you let the current be cut by the automatism. I hope I'll be able to drive my trains with the CS3+, and slow them down and stop in front of red signals without having to cut the current. It might need some more sensors however, so the CS3+ may know better the state of the railroad network. Perhaps I'll implement a computer vision system with a pair of cameras looking at the network to identify the current state and let the CS3+ know what trains should be stopped... There is also the situation on real railroads, where you have two signals on the same section: a main signal for the line trains, and a work signal for shunting trains. The two signals may be contradictory, but each must be respected by its own class of trains! (the shunting trains have additional constraints that will keep the security if they go beyond a red main signal, or they may be diverted by a switch). These situations cannot be dealt with if you cut the current...

Hi there, How do I connect a sensor to the signal to change it to RED? When the train departs on GREEN Signal, I want to change it to RED so the next train stops at the station.
