I worked at DSM from 1989 to close in 2015. My group installed the engine and rear suspension. Those units went in the vehicle from underneath. I will enjoy watching this build it is bringing back a lot of memories. If you pull the rear suspension out look for any initials on top of the diff lol.

I remember my DSM days. Had a 91 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. Full built engine, Megan racing coil overs, Evo 3 16g turbo. AEM standalone. Etc. Etc. Ran an 11.7 at 118 on pump gas. Full interior, sun roof and abs car. She was heavy. Not bad for 15 years ago when cars weren't regularly running 8's. I loved that car. Me and friends had the trans rebuild down to a science. Those cars would break shift forks all the time. So we'd remove the mount next to the timing belt. Remove the trans mount. Loosen the firewall and radiator side mounts. And tilt the whole engine/trans assembly so as to point the trans side towards the ground. That would let us clear the frame rail. Then we'd remove the outer case. And remove all the subsequent parts in sections. Replace the broken fork. Clean it up. Then put it back together. It would take us like 30 minutes to replace a fork. Or really any other part that broke. The good ole days.
