switch phone off, spray near isopropyl alcohol and use either cotton buds or microfibre cloth to clear the super glue off your screen.

Phone screens are glass so solvents are safe, just avoid contact with the plastic bits.

Easiest way to get stuff off of glass is a fresh stanley blade at a very shallow angle

Acetone. Rub it with a cloth and let it soak and the glue will loosen off.

Try using IPA (Isopropyl alcohol) as a cleaning agent to get the super glue off your phone. put a little IPA on the screen on the glue, then wipe with a soft cloth. IPA is used commonly as an electrical cleaner. Just note, the IPA will evaporate reasonably well, and inhaling the fumes isn't great for you, do this in a well ventilated area.

Best one yet! Glue on the phone incident made me laugh out loud as I try to clean superglue off my glasses! Needed a good giggle as ex Marine Engineer husband has just gone into dementia care home, so I’m left to build alone as a complete beginner. Thanks for the fun sweetie, Marti x

If you phone screen is GLASS, then acetone. Turns super glue into a sticky substance like bostic that can then be easily removed. But the screen must be glass because acetone will melt plastic! Hope that helps

Another awsome video. Looks like everyone has made a lot of progress in the last few days, its always the way. Everything is looking so good and im so looking farward to seeing it together. Gosh, seeing all the wiring and, wow. Thinks, well mine wont end up as dense as that, then looks at my own diagrams and... i think ill need pointers from your team 😇😇 complex wiring will always be a dark art. Hope the full team is getting a good rest after all of the late nights. :)

Acetone removes CA immediately. Test in corner first, but phone likely has a glass screen.

This is a plus one . Acetone is the way ro go. Just get nail.varnish remover...but make sure its the acetone one not the water based one.

I have a bfo deep tray that you'd probably use to keep food warm on a counter. Stick it in the oven and forget about it for a few hours. Golf courses are good places for sand.

Rubbing alcohol does a good job removing super glue, but acetone will do it quicker on a glass surface without leaving a greasy residue.

Beautiful work, Lawrie! I love the combination of materials you've used for the scenery. One suggestion for your ballast for future use...pour the ballast, use a 1/2-inch wide brush to sweep it into general shape, then turn the brush around and *gently* tap the tops of the rails. This will have sort of the same effect that "jacking and packing" has.

Last time I saw sand in a pan, it was being cleaned out in the desert. But it's always tops when the window dressing goes down.

I think you should have left the little fellas stood on your screen !!! But as others have said...nail varnish remover ie acetone is the way to go. Make a dam wirh sometuing it doesnt melt. Try blue tack or something. Leave to soak in.

You all did a great job to the modules. I was very impressed by what you had done in a short period of time. One thing I would suggest is put in a method of controlling a section of the layout to allow youngsters to have a go. On the Dawlish Warren layout Chris who owns it has dual control because on shows all the controls at the rear are for that purpose but hidden at the front are his mirrored controls for when he runs it at home. Added advantage is if keen youngsters are viewing we can unplug one of the hand held controllers and put it in the front control section so kids can drive a train.

Apparently a small amount of salty water (like really salty) helps with getting superglue to unstick both on skin and other surfaces.

I read on MRH that WD-40 can remove it, and in fact they even say that themselves (search "How to remove super glue from most household surfaces with WD-40"). WD-40 can really be used for everything!
