They should add Fusion Reactors in a future update where you can use Nuclear Pasta to power it without any waste and at an incredibly slow usage rate - like hours and hours and hours of in-game time to use one unit of pasta in a reactor. It should be ludicrously expensive to make it a true end-game building but it would make the switch from nuclear to fusion reactors that much more... satisfactory.

To be honest, i'm surprised kibitz had not realized the train outbut "buffering" issue sooner. Also, it needs to be done for inputs too, since train stations also stop taking resources in for a few seconds when loading freight carriages.

Kibitz’ nuclear issues make a very good case for modular circuits even in mega-builds. If you make closed systems of say-5 power plants and waste processing it’s way easier to troubleshoot and the fix can just be duplicated across modules

best tip is to start by visualizing everything step by step while keeping the end goal in mind. then for building, focus solely on each step(mining iron and transporting it for example) of the chain and how to build it cleanly.

Foundations are your friend. Come up with a picture of the outside of the factory first, lay out the infrastructure, and just start placing machines down. Spend time using different foundation sizes and shapes, along with lights and signs. It’ll help a lot Also don’t forget this is a sandbox game, only way to play it wrong is when you’re not having fun!

Time to build the tower of pain. I always dumped my nuclear waste off to the far end of the map and built an entire tower of connected storage units for hundreds of thousands of waste. The radiation gets pretty intense next door to it, but you can store a ton of it.

I know people look at art and say "it's not that impressive, I could easily do that!", which is dumb since the whole point is the artist had to actually have the idea and the skill to follow through. But this factory is different. I genuinely COULD build this, or something as productive. The logic, routing and maths is fine. It's the dedication, the time invested, the focus and the persistence - not to mention remembering it all for months - that sets something like this apart. Which is why I could never actually build it in the game

I think the real issue with the trains is that the conveyor belts also stop loading when the station is loading the bin to the train. My 780items/min belt was reduced to 710items/min due to this delay. Tried the buffer and it eventually ran out. Hope the devs could fix this soon.
@percevilleburns7100

Try running a 780 belt into a big box, then use 2 780 belts on the box output into the station. The 2 belts will drain the box faster than the 1 780 can refill it and thus prevent the box from filling up
