Just about to start my own Hyte Y60 build. I can only echo what other have said: this is one of the best technical communication / tutorial / instruction videos for computer installations I’ve ever seen. Your attention to detail and clear, un-rushed presentation style is extremely effective and non-intimidating for people of all experience levels. Great stuff and really looking forward to my own build now. Thank you!

It means a ton to me and I am so very happy I could help you. Your kind words really do mean a ton me, a great way to start the day. I will have to saw, I did do one thing backward, I didn't think this part out more carefully, but thankfully we connected so I can let you know. The fans on the liquid cooling unit, make sure they are blowing into the case, not sucking out. The case needs cooling, the fans on the top on the bottom and rear are not enough to help cool the gpu, so I highly recommend to flip the fans.. It is always my pleasure my friend, if you don't mind me asking, what are your components?

so, the way I put the fans for the liquid cooling unit, you should reverse since the video card in this case gets real hot, have the fans sucking air in, I should have done that. There is a chance you will need to keep the side panel off when you play, the temps got to 88 QUICK, i didn't let them get higher but of course they can. As a reviewer I have to quickly review products people send me to review, since this was something I bought, I had to quickly cycle out of it, I hope to get back to it soon but I hope I have helped you and thanks so much for your support, it means the world to me.

Great videos ThisBytesForYou ! Thanks ! But if I could say, and I hope you don't mind me saying so, Sir, the best placement for an AIO water/liquid cooler CPU pump attachment should be with as much of the pipeworks above the pump. There will be a little air in the radiator system, and if that air is allowed to rise up to the pump which is attached to the CPU, it will hinder the pump working properly. The pump is usually designed in an AIO liquid cooler to work best with water resistance. Having a little air in the pump will cause the pump to work against no resistance, and it will probably become noisy and shorten the life of the pump. I still admire you for your skill and bravery, Sir, in just getting on with building your own PC - something I'm still trying to learn about before taking the leap ! Keep on keeping on, Sir ! All the best to you ! 🙂
@ThisBytesForYou
@ThisBytesForYou 5 ай бұрын
Thanks, but you understood that incorrectly, the best place for the radiator is inline or below the pump, as the pump will be able to push the bubbles out, the hoses at the top of the radiator can do much. Thanks for my bravery, I swear, doing this for over 20 years while at Alienware as product Development, then later Dell when they bought us and Velocity Micro you would think I would have learned something before right? The pump being lower than the tubes causes bubbles to gather, making the pump work harder because there is nothing to push so it works harder to get that liquid, with the hoses at the bottom, the bubbles will go to the top of the radiator which doesn't mater at all since nothing happens there. Usually, it doesn't get installed this way because the hoses are too short, but not in this case. Hopefully something you'll learn from my bravery teehee, being a new builder and all over here what does little old me know. All the best to you too. 🙂

did you manage to get that 3080 working with the riser and pcie gen 4? i got this case and either the riser is faulty or that card simply doesn’t seat properly, because it refuses to work for me. i need to try setting the slot to gen 3 but that entirely defeats the purpose of a gen 4 riser.

No ,not yet, since I bought the case, it has to take a back seat to things companies send me, but I will get back to this. I am assuming your cable is bad, or maybe improperly seated in the PCIE slots, and of course the video card, be sure to check both ends, the way you seat it in this case is very awkward. I will get back to it, but it will take me some time. Also, its a Gen4 cable, you should not need to touch Gen3.

I had it exhausting, sadly this case doesn't do so well in airflow I have recently found, and actually have heard from others, my gpu is usually 81°C, thats way too high, but that was with the fans exhausting on the liquids cooling unit. still fixing issues daily with people with AMD, so I would kind of hate to stear you the wrong way, but as long as you have newer hardware you should be OK and make sure to use HDMI 2.1 cables or DP 1.4 cables, always use the latest standard cable. 165hz, thats a nice monitor, I would recommend the 3080ti though. 6900Xt should be on par with the 3080, match it, beat it and sometimes get beat by it but with newer cards coming out in september, it might be wise to wait a little longer, it will also allow you to save even more money and get a better card.

they should be level or lower, not higher regardless on that, I was a product development engineer for Alienware, then years later Dell, after they bought us and Velocity Micro, we worked hand in hand with all these AIO vendors, and they never mentioned level or lower, it all became something when Steve mentioned it, and still with that, little to no failures or high noises. mind you, like with anything man makes, issues happen, but no mass exctinctions of liquid cooling units,, but anyway, level or below and you are good. Damn that was fast hahah. Ok, ok, maybe I can still catch you. I just bought the CyberpowerPC prebuilt off Newegg -- and damned if they don't include info that will tell me what the Power Supply wattage is . No Bloody Manual. So without unscrewing the damn PSU and pulling it out so I can see the wattage, is there any way you can suggest for me to do it with a free/cheap utlity you know of? Thank for your entertaining and knowledgeable delivery in this Hobby of Love~ 🙂@@ThisBytesForYou

I am always creating and editing videos, upsets my wife, but meh hahah and with I always try to reply, unless I am at my day job. Sadly, there is no way to tell unless you take it out, or you call Cyberpower and give them your invoice number, they might be able to tell you, i have reviewed them before, they make decent systems, good stuff my friend.

Thanks again for the quick reply. Well damn...I know why they can't list the name brands of all their components on the sales web pages, but surely they should drop a component sheet into each box -- am I right? Anyway, I love this box so far, and the rest of the components are above average quality. This Hyte Y60 case is just gorgeous, and now...I head into the sublime bliss of installing all my sheeyat, and transfering my Steam Library from another SSD (which is how I found you -- the SSD install hahah). Thanks again for the help, and stand by for a "Coffee" from me. Cheers Brudda!~~~@@ThisBytesForYou

Why did you put the radiator hoses on the bottom? I understand that’s the WORST thing to do!
@ThisBytesForYou
@ThisBytesForYou 2 жыл бұрын
Actually, its the best, because the gravity will push the water down and when it comes back up, it will suck up bubbles instead of water, causing better, cooling, less noise, and longevity of the unit. Now, if you place the radiator at the same level as the pump, it would work perfectly as well, and of course at the top but the way this case is, the hoses would be above the pump and could cause more noise, less cooling performance and lower the longevity of the unit. Actually, I did do something wrong in this build though, I have it pumping air out, which in all other cases would be the best scenario, but in this case, this is the only airflow from the front, which has the coolest air, so it would need air coming in. This case has fans on the bottom, but they are VERY low flow fans, and are not enough for the video card, vertically mounted video cards get hotter since the fans are so close to the glass, causing the fans to spin faster to make up for the lower amount of air and higher pressure. Hoses at the bottom are best and of course at the top of the case (the ceiling of the case), BUT not every case will work that way because of video cards, hose lengths and other potential factors.

What's a deal breaker is the fact that there is no space for a capture card to go
@ThisBytesForYou
@ThisBytesForYou 2 жыл бұрын
yeah, there are plenty pros and cons to this case. Mind you, there are external capture cards (which I prefer because I can record BIOS' and from consoles, but I do reviews, I kind of need that, you may not) but no a days, most everything is built onto the motherboard, so they figured they could get away with it, or use low profile cards, what kind of capture card do you have?
