Building a Plywood Boat - Part 2

Finally completed the 12ft Bahia mini panga. To transport the boat I can role it into the bed of my truck using some portable loading ramps. This can be done fairly easily by one person. The retractable wheels on the transom work great for launching and retrieving the boat, although it can be a bit of a workout pulling the boat up a long boat ramp. At some point I'll be getting a trailer through. The boat is quite stable, and I can stand and cast in calm water without any issues. The 9.9 four stroke gets the boat up on plane effortlessly, maxing out at 36km/h (19.4 knots). As a first time boat builder Jeff's design and building methodology was quite easy to understand. Plans can be found on spirainternational.com. You will find the 12ft Bahia under the panga section. Jeff has a lot of different designs on his website. A 15hp outboard would work great on this boat.
