7:28 If the city can afford it, sure. In cities with lots of rain and bad water absorption, the canals are flooded most of the time.

River walks has they Pros and Cons! They are great to have, increase the value of the land. Yes, "Almost" every city should have one, if done right (river fronts around the world designed by imperatur). Almost: Not sure if I want to walk along a polluted river ! 😁

River walks are generally canal walks instead. Thus the quality of water is much more controllable. City beautiful has a video about a river walk like that in texas, I recommend. I must praise Imperatur as well for his quality build.

The motorists in your city drive like maniacs! At 11:00 to 11:30 you have a lot of drivers on that onramp going direct to the left lane of the elevated highway!

The Riverwalk in San Antonio TX is probably the best example of a complete destination. There's a restaurant called Dick's Last Resort where you can get some of the best BBQ and southern style sarcasm. It's been there for years.....

if the LA river was ever a river rather than a little ecosystem with a tiny trickle at the bottom of a gargantuan concrete ravine then it could totally work now in the winter it does fill up a bit but only like 5% of capacity, so it's not a sustainable enough river to be used for a riverwalk
