Building a Roof Over the Container! | Shipping Container Workshop

SO MUCH work got done this week! We now have a roof over the container and all the siding milled. We got a ton done for this week, which makes up a bit for last week. In the next video, we will really start to see this place transform!

You should of put a barrier under the wood to separate wood from metal to avoid condinsation and wood rot/mold. Great job people !!!

I like a wide brim hat while cutting grass and got a pair of behind the head hearing protection ear muffs. They have a metal frame that sits behind your neck and a velcro strip that goes over your head. They work pretty good.

You need a pair of the muffs that Ian Roussel uses. They are safety glasses with muffs on the side. No part goes over your head.

This so cool to watch this go into place. I've got a 8x40 also and have been wondering how to pretty it up. Here in Florida we get some strong winds (of course). So we tie our rafters down with Simpson Strong Ties. It might be worth your while to check them out. Not so much for the downward load, but the updraft.
