I am of the age where I was honored and privileged to learn carpentry and the trades from noble craftsman like yourself sir. Although those folks have all passed now. I ended my career about 4 years ago as a Senior Construction Inspector. However I am still making sawdust and turning dirt and taking care of my Forrest property. Out of curiosity why would you not have made a pattern and cut all the fartes on the ground?

Howdy- I did make and use a pattern as I always do. I cut all the rafter seat cuts on the lower end on the saw horses and also the peak cuts. The reason I cut the top seats is because the seat cut control was on the inside of the load carrying beam. I wanted to scribe the upper seats for a nice fit. God bless
