Great video, especially about the different welds. It will help me making my deer blind.

@kelvinpen31442 ай бұрын
@@NBSWELDING I have heard of welding on the washer first but never tried it The nut is holding for now and the bolt is starting move Thanks for the suggestion about the washer if the nut breaks off I’ll definitely give the washer trick a shot 😎👍

Really nice presentation. As I have said before you need to be in a vocational school teaching. I have been welding for over 50 years and you present the job task in a beautiful manner.

Hey C.B., Nice job on the sign frame. Your explanation on cutting the miter corners 1/8" short to make a gap for penetration on the butt weld was great. I think the material used to make the sign is a product called Dibond Sign Board. It's two thin panels of aluminum bonded to a core of polyethylene. Be careful not to tighten the screws to tight. The screws could draw in the aluminum in causing big dents.

Thanks...your right about the sign material....I think I will get the screws in place with the impact gun but when I finally tighten them against the sign I'll do it carefully by hand with a ratchet or wrench

When it comes to extracting broken bolts and screws. One thing that I’ve had to resort to, especially on broken taps on blind holes, is to blast the center out with the plasma cutter. Then, sometimes, you can knock it through with a punch, drill it the rest of the way out or even finish breaking it up with a small chisel or center punch. Not always pretty but, whatever works.

after watching you and a couple of other reviews, i bought one of those little arccaptain migs. it has been an awesome little machine and I find I pick it first for a lot of little jobs. So far have not needed to go over 60 amps on it, and that has been plenty of power for up to around 1/8 in. the auto whatever thing it has works really well. just set the amps and the electronics takes care of it.

CB, as one who works with stainless every day. The quality of stainless is absolute garbage. Yes I know there are different types, 304,316,308. It doesn’t matter, as soon as it get hot at all it galls. Great looking sign.

CB do you put the weld from the tube being manufactured on the back side. So you don’t have to try and drill through it?

Good work CB question for you I am a new welder = is flux core weld as strong as mig weld. ??? 2) i noticed that you have many welders in Your shop, does that means that i will have many machines too ???? I have now a lincould 140 flux core and capacity to do mig Thanks. in advance
@NBSWELDING2 ай бұрын
Flux core is just as strong as MIG...no type of welding is stronger than any other when each are used for their purpose. I bought most of my machines when I was welding for the drilling industry and I needed the write off to reduce my tax burden...dunno if you really need to do that...depends if you ever get in that position or not.
