I do it a bit more complicated than that, I run my 4x1s from corble to corble like you do, but then add a 6x1 to the ends of the truss feet, so I've got two points of contact to nail into when I fit my soffit, plus adds strength to the facia aswell, nightmare to fit in the winter, as plastic is so brittle 😬.

Ah nice! Everyone does everything slightly different don’t they. Good idea with the sub fascia tho be stronger your way 👌 stripping the plastic film off fascia in winter is a nightmare! Haha cheers for your comments 💪

Hi mate, because this roof didn’t have ladder ends I just set the truss in enough that a brick pillar could run up the inside of the gable. I’ve got other videos on how to set the truss up if you have ladder ends if you want to check them out. Also if there wasn’t a brick pillar I just set them 60mm which is the thickness of my level! Haha hope that helps! Cheers

Nice work, Only thing I do different is I nail the soffit to the timber first then use the fascia lip to level it. Makes it easier especially if your working alone.

That’s a good idea! I always use the the corbels as a guide so mark the bottom edge of fascia on that then nail the batten 20mm higher to allow for the 10mm of soffit and 10mm lip on the fascia. Bit of a head blag but I’ve got it now 🤣🤣 might try you method tho 👌
