Hi Chris, I like to think of myself as a novice bricky. Practicing with small jobs around the back garden, and I really enjoy your videos and appreciate the advice. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos and share.

Another very informative video Chris, looking forward to seeing the roof going on. 2,700 bricks is a big ole garage mate. Did you put ties in and build the pillars after?
@foundationgood1232 жыл бұрын
Thanks matey, yes ties are in the walls ready for pillars see see at 13:04

I’m in the Staffordshire Moorlands area, i did work in Warrington-on an extension but the fuel was astronomical, so a bit cautious about travelling too far out! Where are you and what work is it you want doing?

Alright pal just a question or 2. I'm building a single story 3metere out FRM house and 4m wide. I'm at the bricklaying strange now had pad poured so now I'm startingwe cavity has to hav 100mm.what is they data stick ,do u pin a line to damp course of the existing house an then do u run it back to ur corner where ur building an what do u do then how do get the lever other end
@foundationgood123 Жыл бұрын
Okay there are two ways of getting your levels. 1 is old school by knocking in a datum pug by the existing damp course and traversing your level and straight edge(box ali profiles are great for this ) and transferee the levels to your corners. 2. Datum peg again by the dpc of the existing house and hire a rotary laser level to transfer the level to your corners. Once. that is done dry lay your courses to check the bond, lay your corners. You can then out profiles up or just measure the courses. Hope that has helped
