I really need that pool yesterday. it was 88 deg here in Georgia (Atlanta area) where I live and my kid had a outdoor thing... for three hours. water/sunglasses/ sunblock, hats, helped but didn't do much as today I have a migraine kicking in :( tell Bea we all hope she feels better and we care about you both!!

It is a loquat tree! We call it nespereira in Portuguese. It gives a yellow, round, strawberry size, with a brown stone inside, fruit. If you are lucky the fruit can be incredibly sweet, but it can a bit tart as well, don’t forget to peel it to eat and please wash your hand thoroughly after eating because it can stain the skin! Enjoy your holidays 👍

And biwa (ビワ) in Japan. We've got them all over Tokyo, as well, and my daughter loves them. Surprisingly, we also had them on my grandparents' farm in South Texas when I was a kid. Of course, we were completely unaware of what they were, so we called them Chinese Peaches. 😅

Alpacas would love that land and they could make money off the fur and use their manure as garden fertilizer. It has a natural weed deterrent. Alpacas are also communal poopers, they all use the same spot for the bathroom. All you have to do is pick it all up and leave it a little in a different place and they will adopt the new area. This allows you to use the manure for both pasture and garden aplications.

We just had massive wildfire here in Cyprus, very sad. They use prickly pear as fire breaks over here, they line fields like fencing. I guess the water content slows it down. Hope B is doing better now mum is over. Bug love to you all.

Great views, the contrast of the very blue sky with the different shades of green and the dried grass reminds me so much of the south of France. The crawdad (what we US southern fold call the crayfish), won't bother you as long you aren't trying to attack them. I've swam amongst many a crawdad and never has a problem. You can get the prickley pears of by fixing a small tin on a pole, and twist the fruit of the leaves. When you peel it, use two forks. It is lovely to eat when cooled in a fridge

Wait until they ripen, though. The fruit will turn a deep red color. It makes great jelly.
