No worries. It comes out great. Used gunmetal instead of black and light gunmetal instead of the white separation decal.

Thanks for bringing us along! I always wanted to build a Dyna Storm, but never got around to it. This video is probably the closest I'll get, and I much appreciate. The history lesson was fantastic as well. I don't think Tamiya, or most other manufacturers, did sway bars on those 90s buggies when many track surfaces were still rough dirt, a little loose, and not terribly smooth. Those tracks were low grip compared to the high grip surfaces that took over later. You also see this tendency today with Associated releasing the B6 2wd buggies in two versions -- a 'd' version without sway bar for dirt, and a non-d with a sway bar for carpet. I much prefer a loose loam track to even a high grip clay track, but they can be so hard to maintain.

Something about a little dirt kicking off the tires just makes it for me. I cannot control a car on carpet. Everything is just to fast for me. My brain doesn’t work that quick. I try to make all my build vids in a way that if I were watching, I would experience the build the same as actually building it. That is what I look for in a build video on KZbin.

Great build Keith. Nice to see how much you enjoyed the build. Dyna Storm - Dyna Blaster … they are exactly the same like Star Wars and Star Trek. 😯😉😆 I have a similar experience when I do a project on video, a LED will dislodge or a solder will come loose. But it still makes me smile and I’ll still post it. You know I’m a fan of custom body designs. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this one.

Great build Keith! This came out after I moved away from the hobby but you can see it was a beautiful buggy. Love those shocks! I would love to see Tamiya go all out and create a premium 2wd buggy again. Thanks for sharing this with us all dude!

The dyna storm is by far the coolest and best looking 2wd buggy ever. Like the top force evo and egress is for 4wd. I feel lucky to own one. It will my first pure shelfer, because the steering is so weak. Now I bought a 3d printed version of the steering arms with bearings. But I wont fit it unless i get an undertray so I can drive it more wo scratching the carbon chassis plate=)

I always thought that this looks like a cross between an Evo and a madcap it looks aggressive and stunning at the same time I think that’s what makes it appealing I would love to see this and a madcap rereleased ❤

I bought the rere when it first came out, and you aren't kidding about it being expensive. I had to ask the tower hobbies operator twice, what the price was, because I couldn't believe it, but I was a little crazy, and had to have it. I did build it, and was so careful, because it came so dear. You can bet that it is a shelf queen, and will always remain so, but I love it.

I just fiinshed the Top Force 2017 yesterday. Was it as painful for your fingers to get the rear tires on the rim ??? I had to use huge metal tools for bicycles to get the last 2 tires on because my fingers were too weak...

I like the box art on this one and the chassis looks awesome! I have never built a full FRP chassis off road car yet. I have built the Tyrrell 6 wheeler with the plate chassis but its not quite the same! I love the the high shock tower and kick back suspension geometry up front as well. It looks great and I am looking forward to the next video of it getting the body on it. I think over all it is a terrific looking buggy! It would look better on display sitting a bit lower!

@@rcicons4915 The second isn't bad. Today, all brushed have fixed timing. Today nobody need adjustable timing. All brushed have the maximum of power on 24 degrees. With higher rpm, the power goes down and burn your anker. And nobody love the second motor, but it great!!! The motorhead is better than the original in several aspects. Put it in. It is part of the car. In twenty years, it is a collectors item in new condition. greetings

@@rcicons4915 The o-rings on the Teflons are rubbish. They are too tight and tear as a result. Because of this, you also lose the rear clutch cover. The bore is smaller than with the Bigbore due to the insert. Therefore they do not wear out.

I really like this kit! I'm thinking hard to find but I'm looking. And if you could please do tell on your clear bag holders for the screws. Thats a grest idea to keep them separate.. thanks
