Boy your timing is spot on...I had trouble with that video this morning before I was heading out to work and I got so pissed about how little success I've had with KZbin so far that by the time I got out the job site I was seriously not even gonna shoot any video today....When I got to the job and saw you had gifted me this Superthanks I thought "Man you gotta hang in there for these viewers that appreciate the videos". Thank you so much for hitting me with this at just the right time...ain't like me to give up that easy anyway...and I did shoot video on site today too

More than welcome brother! I grew up in South Louisiana and about 1/3 of my relatives were welders in the oil field. Learned to stick weld around 10 with a tombstone and making horse fences with old drilling pipe. I picked it back up since retiring from the military and I appreciate your channel and the narrative/reasonings for the procedures. The information provided is so valuable, it would take many years to pick up as a helper, or rework from our own mistakes. Thank you so much brother for everything you do and God bless you and your family!

Another good looking fabrication C.B.! My only thought with installing the angle iron in that direction is the possibility of debris getting trapped between the expanded metal and angle iron. Beautiful work!!

Wonderful video CB! I like putting both edges of the angle on the flat expanded metal. That gives me a good idea on how to increase the strength of my tailgate. I’ve been doing some trailer mods on my 5’ x 10’ trailer. I welded some extra bracing underneath the left corner, and added a 2000 lb. lifting crane, put new decking boards on it, and now just have to weld on a plate and the jack to support the area underneath the crane. I appreciate the work you put into these videos!

100% those always snap the spot welds and then the mesh sags and it sucks, then the machines crunch thru the mesh, bought a trailer recently in some spots you cud drop your foot thru it and damn near loose ya leg doin it. Little NBS tackafier solution on there and she’s back like new. I did like seeing how you made those hinges tho, being that I’m just getting into Fab work I was curious how you were gonna tackle that, so great job 👏

Hey cb how long was that side ramp tho approx? Cause I keep thinking on mine it wud need to be like a damn diving board length to get my mowers to roll off there without throwing ya over the controls as it snags on the crest? And then if it didn’t snag, I’m worried it would be like the roller coaster crest or the giant drop going over that thing? Is it pretty smooth on and off wit a mower tho? Y’all test it? I mean for the quad and off road crowd who gives a sheet, but like higher end mowers that cut super tight tolerances and whatnot I can’t be jacking up rig getting them off and then butcher somebody’s high end lawn, I think that’s the main thing that’s scared me away from making one of them dealios already myself
@NBSWELDING
@NBSWELDING 9 ай бұрын
Ramp is 50" long...same as the rear...he's been running his mowers up and down the rear ramp so we know that length is fine...depends on how high your trailer is I reckon

@@NBSWELDING mines the Leonard one with the dang high ass sides on it, like excessively high sides for lawn care I think. But anyways I got feds up with the janky panky hitch that comes on the trailer stock, mine was kinda worn out and I use my mower to shove the trailer away each night at my storage unit which is a pain so I wanna make it as easy as possible so I pulled a CB and hit up northern tool the other day and seen they had those upgraded style tongues you can weld in, this one auto locks and is a lot more beefy than my stock 3500 lb one. This ones rated at 6k I think which it will never see but I made alittle short of me slapping that thing on last night CB Check her out. I was at my shop/ storage unit tho so I only had 120volt and just rocked my little Lincoln flux core machine and slap her back together wit a few beads All the way around after the judy chopping. My question to you is, just curious, if I wasn’t able to do just do this myself, what would a job like this cost if someone came to you, or any welder and wanted to upgrade their trailer hitch portion? Just curious buddy cause I’ve honestly never seen anyone talk about or doing this exact job kzbin.infopaEFHyulOfk?si=5GTy5STNc0RkgOJ2

Hinges welded on the bottom with two angle iron or square tube frames...so that when it's down the frames smash against each other holding the ramp straight...probably not worth the hassle or you'd see them like that more often...good for getting your fingers smashed though

How do you go about tacking the expanded metal without melting holes in in? 👌
@NBSWELDING
@NBSWELDING 9 ай бұрын
With solid wire MIG welding...if your melting it then your using too much voltage, or the material is contaminated or deteriorated....if rust or old paint is causing contamination then you have to clean it up best you can and just barely tack then pause and tack again....in that case you tack and let it cool and repeatedly tack again to build up material and purify the area...takes some practice

Nice addition to the landscape trailer. I'm sure he'll love having that extra access & not have to move both machines to get one out. ✔️👍🏻👌🏻🛠️🔧🔩👨🏻‍🏭🔌🔋⚡💥💨🕶️⚠️😅 Ps: CB can you lower the background music please?! I'm not a fan of the background music on these videos, and especially when its loud, louder than your regular speaking voice. So i constantly have to lower my volume when music is playing, then raise so i can hear what you're preachin! CEE (& a few others) has their video editing down to a perfect science and it makes watching it so much better. No music, just the 'music' of the machines being used. Fast forward when monotonous, boring stuff is happening, a nice slow-mo shot when something cool comes up during shooting. I'm just trying to give you a hand with the channel, i know you should have double or triple what you have now. You are really good at your job and i hope & want you get to all the awarding points on KZbin -100k, 250k, 500k, 1M subscribers. Your teaching, instruction & fabrication skills are too notch and you deserve way more subs than you got now! Ya know yt is funny with certain things & who knows what is happening in their clouded up heads down there, but they need to get their heads out of their 💩 🕳️‼️⚠️😅✔️👍🏻👌🏻🤣

This loud music complaint has gone on for years...it doesn't happen on any of the 5 devices we have here to watch the videos on...I have no idea why it does that on other devices. If I don't add the music then the sound of my saws and grinders when the video is sped up is unbearable...like fingernails on a chaulk board...so it's either add the music, or the video will be silent, or the sounds will be awful. I don't know what to do...I have no computer skills and I cannot operate a desktop or laptop...I have no computer experience at all...I've taught myself how to make videos on my phone and I do all of this on my phone...I just spent $1200 on a new phone to get a better camera and KZbin pays me about $12 each for these videos that take me between 8 and 16 hours each to make. I'm losing my ass doing this and if it weren't for the few people giving Superthanks I would have probably already quit....those who show that level of appreciation keep me going

@@NBSWELDINGYeah I get it man. Sorry I didn't mean to press a button, just trying to help out. You are doing really good for not doing this on a computer. I am not really computer literate myself either, I can turn it on and make it send messages and text and the basic stuff like that but far from computer literate! You probably need an editing app or the computer to do the better editing to get better quality videos. You should be able to speed up a video, while not making sounds, just mute that part and have music on softer volume. But like I said I'm no computer or video editor, director, nor producer. You are doing great for just using your phone to do this. I believe most KZbinrs are using GoPro cameras and then taking out the flash drive card to their computer to do the cutting, pasting & editing to make their videos before uploading to KZbin. I get it though I'm 47 so I grew up when these computers started coming into everyone's homes, like the internet connection came thru a very slow 'dial-up' modem over a home phone line not like today when everything comes at us 'instantly' right through the air now. Stick in there man, you're doing good and can only get better with repetition & practice....just like welding! I wish I could give you better information and advise as far as computers are concerned but I'm dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to this technology stuff, I'm gonna go watch a movie on VHS right now😂 Hell, I still had a basic flip phone until about 7 or 8 years ago, also I was still rocking a pager when everyone was getting their Motorola Razors & Nokia 'lil brick phones' so who am I to talk or give you advice! 😂😂🤔🤦🏻‍♂️😅👍🏻👌🏻📽️📹🖥️⌨️☎️📞🤣🛠️🔧🔩👨🏻‍🏭
