Might I suggest a very small copper wire threw that PVC and ground it to clamps and earth. #2 Make a little tool to clean out the slides on the blast gates or they will not close all the way after some use.

Thanks for reaching out! It's still a work in progress and I haven't ruled out grounding the pipes. There's lots of debate out there as far as if it's necessary or not. I'm certainly no expert on the matter but it wouldn't hurt anything to ground it I suppose. The blast gates are very temperamental already. It seems easy enough that I should be able to clean out the sides but I can't see where the dust is getting trapped. The plastic housing doesn't come apart to look too thoroughly. I can feel it gumming up in there but can't figure out where. Any ideas? Maybe I should have gotten better quality blast gates

John McGrath has a video that proves it won’t work for PVC due to it being “static” electricity ⚡️ but is cheap enough to do it for peace of mind. Static implies the current doesn’t move unless grounding is exactly over every surfaced part electrified. I’d link the YT video but YT deletes links. I was thinking about dry graphite spray the inside of a pipe to ground that since it has contact properties, unsure if it would last though due to it being a spray on substance.
